The Coast Guard Civil Relations Service (CGCRS) conducted the Joint Ceremony for the Graduation of the Coast Guard Civil Relations Basic Course Class 01-2026 and the Convening of the Information Development Management Package Course Class 01-2026 on August 7, 2026, at Legaspi Hall, Headquarters Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command (HCGETDC).

The ceremony was graced by Rear Admiral Roben N De Guzman PCG, Commander, CGCRS, who served as Keynote Speaker, highlighting the CGCRSโ€™ commitment to strengthening personnel competencies in civil relations and information support.

In his message, Rear Admiral De Guzman PCG emphasized the importance of continuous professional development and specialized training in strengthening the Serviceโ€™s capabilities and ensuring that its personnel are prepared to effectively fulfil their respective roles.

Through continuous training and professional development, the CGCRS builds a more capable and mission-ready force, committed to advancing the Commandโ€™s mandate and objectives.

The activity was graced by Commander Edgardo R Aguilar PCG Commander, Coast Guard Station Masbate, in behalf of Commodore Rolando L Lorenzana PCG, Commander, Coast Guard District Bicol and AUX VADM Manolita T Faelnar PCGA, National Director of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA). Their presence highlighted the unwavering commitment of the Philippine Coast Guard and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary to strengthening the capabilities and professionalism of its volunteer force through continuous education, leadership development, and values formation.

The seminar equipped the participants with a comprehensive understanding of the mission, organization, and responsibilities of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary while reinforcing the core values of volunteerism, discipline, leadership, and public service. Through initiatives such as this, CRG-BCL continues to advance its commitment to fostering a well-informed, competent, and service-oriented Auxiliary, further strengthening the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and its volunteers in promoting maritime safety, environmental protection, search and rescue, and community development throughout the Bicol Region.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: Civil Relations Groupโ€“Bicol (CRG-BCL) successfully conducted the Orientation for Freshman Students enrolled in the Philippine Coast Guard Oriented National Service Training Programโ€“Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) at Mariners' Polytechnic Colleges Foundation of Legaspi City - Albay Inc today, August 01 2026.

The activity served as an introduction to the program, providing students with an overview of its objectives, training components, and the vital role of the Philippine Coast Guard in promoting civic responsibility, patriotism, discipline, environmental stewardship, and community service.

During the orientation, CRG-BCL personnel encouraged the freshmen to actively participate in the program and uphold the core values of honor, respect, and service. The activity also emphasized the importance of volunteerism, leadership, and nation-building, inspiring the students to become responsible citizens and future partners of the Philippine Coast Guard in serving their communities.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) joined the Mass Blood Donation Drive organized by the Las Piรฑas City Health Office on July 25, 2026 at SM City Las Piรฑas.

A total of 14 personnel from the Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (HRMC) and Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) donated blood in support of the Department of Healthโ€™s (DOH) National Voluntary Blood Services Program to help maintain a safe and adequate national blood supply.

The initiative underscores the PCGโ€™s Intensified Community Assistance, Awareness, Response, and Enforcement (iCARE) Program and reinforces its commitment to humanitarian service and public health through voluntary blood donation.

The event marked the 10th anniversary of the historic 2016 South China Sea Arbitral Award, bringing together government agencies, partner organizations, and the public in a shared commitment to peace, unity, and the protection of the country's maritime interests.

The Philippine Coast Guard remains steadfast in protecting the country's maritime interests while promoting peace, security, and unity.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The Civil Relations Groupโ€“Bicol (CRG-BCL), in partnership with Coast Guard District Bicol (CGDBCL), the Coast Guard Dental Serviceโ€“Bicol, the 901st Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron (CGAS) Albay, and the 909th Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron (CGAS) Albay, successfully conducted a Dental Mission at Barangay Jonop, Malinao, Albay on 10 July 2026.

The humanitarian activity provided free dental services, including tooth extraction and fluoride application, benefiting a total of eighty-three (83) adult and child residents of the community. To further promote proper oral hygiene and overall wellness, dental hygiene kits were distributed to the beneficiaries, while hot and nutritious rice porridge was served to residents and participants. The initiative aimed to improve oral health, encourage good dental care practices, and make essential healthcare services more accessible, particularly to underserved sectors.

The activity reflects the Philippine Coast Guardโ€™s continuing commitment to delivering responsive community service beyond its maritime mandate. Through the collective efforts of the participating units and volunteers, the Dental Mission reinforced the Coast Guardโ€™s dedication to compassionate public service while strengthening its partnership with the local community in advancing a healthier, more resilient, and empowered Bagong Pilipinas.

The activity aimed to introduce the participants to the mission, functions, and organizational structure of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, while highlighting the vital role of volunteerism in promoting maritime safety, environmental protection, disaster preparedness, and community service.
