Leadership begins with a willing heart to serve. With pride, hope, and a shared commitment to excellence, Macutay-Palao National High School officially inducted the newly elected Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Officers, GPTA Officers, and Organizational Club Officers for School Year 2026–2027, marking the beginning of a new chapter of dedicated service, responsible leadership, and meaningful collaboration.

The ceremony formally welcomed the new set of leaders who pledged to uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and servant leadership as they accepted the responsibility of representing the learners, parents, and various school organizations.

In his Welcome Remarks, Principal Sir Edsel B. Yatar emphasized that leadership is both an honor and a responsibility. He encouraged every officer to become leaders of character who will inspire others through discipline, respect, and genuine service to the school community.

The program was further inspired by the message of SSLG Assistant Adviser Sir J***y Macababbad, who reminded the officers that leadership is never about authority or position, but about the willingness to serve others with humility, compassion, and commitment. He encouraged them to lead by example and make every opportunity count in creating a positive impact within the school.

The ceremony was made even more meaningful through the presence and inspiring messages of the distinguished guests.

𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 | 𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛

MACUTAY-PALAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL — Yesterday, the school successfully celebrated Nutrition Month 2026 through a series of fun and meaningful activities, including Poster Making, Slogan Making, and the much-awaited Cook Fest.

The celebration encouraged students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and culinary skills while emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition, healthy eating, and active living.
Though simple, the event made a meaningful impact by reminding everyone that making healthy choices today leads to a stronger and healthier future.
The success of the celebration was made possible through the leadership of Ma'am Regina Bakilan, TLE Club Coordinator, together with the dedicated SSLG Officers, the support of Barangay Macutay Nurse Ma'am Solidad Plumentera, and everyone who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.

𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗣𝗨𝗣𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗚 𝗚𝗣𝗧𝗔, 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗬 𝗡𝗔 𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗪𝗔

MACUTAY-PALAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL — Matagumpay na isinagawa noong Hulyo 31, 2026, ganap na 8:00 ng umaga, ang Ikalawang Pagpupulong ng General Parents-Teachers Association (GPTA) na dinaluhan ng mga magulang at g**o upang talakayin ang mahahalagang usapin at mga proyektong nakatuon sa patuloy na pag-unlad ng paaralan.

Pinangunahan ni Alma Aguinaldo, Pangulo ng GPTA, ang nasabing pagpupulong. Kabilang sa mga pangunahing tinalakay ang ulat hinggil sa pansamantalang nahintong konstruksyon ng bakod ng paaralan, isang proyektong mahalaga sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan at seguridad ng bawat mag-aaral.

Nagbahagi rin ang mga dumalong magulang ng kanilang mga mungkahi at suhestiyon upang makatulong sa pagpapatuloy at matagumpay na pagsasakatuparan ng proyekto.

Ipinamalas ng pagpupulong ang matatag na pagkakaisa, kooperasyon, at aktibong pakikilahok ng mga magulang at g**o—patunay ng kanilang iisang layunin na maisulong ang isang mas ligtas, maayos, at de-kalidad na kapaligiran para sa lahat ng mag-aaral ng Macutay-Palao National High School.

Macutay-Palao National High School Wins 1st Place in the Gulayan sa Paaralan Provincial Level Competition!

Hard work, dedication, teamwork, and a shared love for agriculture have brought another remarkable achievement to Macutay-Palao National High School. Congratulations to the entire MAPA NHS family for proudly bringing home the First Place Award in the Gulayan sa Paaralan – Provincial Level Competition!

This success was made possible through the unwavering commitment of our advisers, Ms. Noemi Pacio Durian (Agri-Crop Adviser) and Ms. Cynthia Nalog (Gulayan Adviser), whose guidance and passion inspired our students to create a productive, sustainable, and beautiful school garden.

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the Grade 12 Agri-Crop Productions students and the Gulayan Club members, whose countless hours of hard work, creativity, and perseverance transformed the garden into an award-winning project.

Special recognition is extended to our students who collected and recycled plastic bottles, creatively using them as garden borders and decorative bases. Their initiative not only enhanced the beauty of the garden but also promoted environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.

We also express our sincere gratitude to Sir J***y Carillo, owner of Green Valley Farm, for his generous support in preparing the land. Through the use of his farm machinery for plowing, harrowing, and smoothing the soil, he helped provide a strong foundation for the success of this project.

This victory is more than just a trophy—it is a testament to what can be achieved when teachers, students, and community partners work together with one goal: to cultivate learning, sustainability, and excellence.
