| PAMAHALAANG PANLALAWIGAN, HINIHIKAYAT ANG LAHAT NG REAL PROPERTY TAXPAYERS SA PALAWAN NA TANGKILIKIN ANG 2- YEAR TAX AMNESTY

Hinihikayat ng Office of the Provincial Treasurer (OPT) at Provincial Assessor’s Office (PAssO) ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ang lahat ng mga real property taxpayers sa Palawan na tangkilikin ang 2-Year Tax Amnesty para sa pagbabayad ng kaukulang buwis alinsunod sa Republic Act 12001, o Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA).

Layon ng batas na ito na tulungan ang mga real property taxpayers na mabawasan ang kanilang obligasyon sa buwis nang walang interes at mapalakas ang koleksiyon ng buwis upang magamit sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa, proyekto, at serbisyong pangkaunlaran sa mga lokalidad.

Sa layuning pagtibayin ang naturang batas sa Palawan ay nilagdaan ni Gob. Dennis M. Socrates ang Provincial Ordinance No. 3531, series of 2024 o “Granting Tax amnesty on real Property Taxes and Special Levies and Real Property Covering Penalties, Surcharges, and Interest from All Unpaid Real Property Taxes in the Province of Palawan, Adopting Section 30 of Republic Act 12001, otherwise known as the “Real Property Valuation Reform Act (RPVARA)” and Appropriating Funds Thereof”.

Sa ilalim ng nasabing ordinansa, maaaring bayaran nang buo o hulugan ang mga kasalukuyang buwis at mga hindi pa nababayarang buwis mula sa mga nakaraang taon. Ang pagbabayad ay maaaring gawin nang walang karagdagang multa o interes batay sa napagkasunduang kontrata sa pagitan ng taxpayer at ng pamahalaan, na maaaring tumagal hanggang Hulyo 2026.
