A meaningful and inspiring first day of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 unfolded in the Municipality of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, bringing together young people, youth leaders, and local officials in a celebration of ideas, leadership, collaboration, and unity.

Carrying the theme โ€œYouth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnership,โ€ the activity highlighted how todayโ€™s youth can use technology, knowledge, and teamwork to create meaningful contributions to their communities.

Our resource speakers, Ms. April Dawn Ticke and Ms. Marlyn Laja, shared inspiring insights that encouraged the participants to become more confident, responsible, and involved young leaders.

The celebration was also supported by Mr. Arvin C. Fuentes, representing Mayor Norman S. Ong; Mr. Vladimir Esperancilla, representing Vice Mayor Ma. Gracia M. Zapanta; Hon. Judith Hermoso, SK Federation President; SB John Kian Pantalita; SB Harvey Mongcal; and Mr. Zorin Cadima, Municipal Youth Officer I.

Representatives and SK Chairpersons from all 11 barangays also came together, strengthening the spirit of cooperation and showing that when young people work together, their voices become stronger and their impact becomes greater.

The Local Government Unit of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, under the leadership of Mayor Norman S. Ong, with Vice Mayor Ma. Gracia M. Zapanta and the 17th Sangguniang Bayan, continues to create spaces where the youth can learn, connect, lead, and make a difference.

This year's celebration is more than an eventโ€”it is a reminder that the future is being shaped by young people who are willing to learn, take action, and work together.

The Municipal Youth Development Office (MYDO) successfully conducted the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officials Capability Enhancement Training on June 22, 2026, at KSK Serenity Resort, Purok Magsasaka, Martha Ville, Brgy. Irawan, Puerto Princesa City, Philippines.

The training was attended by the SK Chairpersons and SK Kagawads from the eleven (11) barangays of the Municipality of Rizal, Palawan, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities as youth leaders in their respective communities.

The whole-day training focused on key topics, including Re-Orientation on SK Duties and Responsibilities, SK Budgeting Process, Leadership Development, and Good Governance. Through these sessions, participants deepened their understanding of their roles, enhanced their leadership capabilities, and strengthened their commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in public service.

This activity reflects the Municipal Youth Development Office's unwavering commitment to strengthening youth governance by empowering Sangguniang Kabataan officials with the competence, integrity, and leadership needed to effectively serve the youth sector and contribute to the continued development of their respective barangays.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the Municipal Youth Development Office (MYDO) under the leadership of Mr. Zorin E. Cadima for making this meaningful initiative possible. We also sincerely thank our distinguished resource speakers Mr. Joseph Lorenzo, Mr. Ted A. Guian, and Ms. Melrose A. Gatucao for generously sharing their knowledge, experiences, and expertise, inspiring our SK officials to become more effective and responsible leaders.

the Boxing Tournament held at Barangay Taburi became one of the highlights of the celebration of the 68th Founding Anniversary. The event showcased not only the talent, discipline, and determination of our young athletes, but also the unity and support of the whole community in promoting sportsmanship and youth development.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Youth Development Office (MYDO) under the leadership of Mr. Zorin E. Cadima, together with MSDP Coordinator Mr. Rey S.
