ROMBLON, Romblon – Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS) intensified its road safety campaign through the conduct of a checkpoint aimed at promoting traffic discipline, preventing road accidents, and protecting the lives of motorists and other road users.

During the activity, police personnel reminded motorists to strictly observe traffic laws, wear appropriate protective gear, carry valid driver's licenses and vehicle documents, and ensure that their vehicles are roadworthy before traveling.

The checkpoint also highlighted the importance of responsible driving, including avoiding overspeeding, reckless maneuvers, and driving under the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances.

ROMBLON, Romblon – Personnel of Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted a clean-up drive within the station premises to promote cleanliness, maintain orderliness, and strengthen environmental awareness in support of the Philippine National Police’s commitment to a cleaner and healthier community.

The activity focused on cleaning and organizing the station’s surroundings and work areas, highlighting the importance of discipline, teamwork, and environmental responsibility among police personnel.

The initiative also complements the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA’s Project TREE, which promotes environmental protection through tree-growing activities, coastal rehabilitation, and other initiatives that contribute to a greener and more sustainable environment.

ROMBLON, Romblon — Personnel of Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS) joined the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and other uniformed agencies in a motorcade in celebration of the 15th Community Relations Service Month.

The activity was participated in by personnel from the Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), PNP Maritime Group, and Romblon Provincial Mobile Force Company (RPMFC) 4th Platoon, demonstrating a unified commitment to community service and public safety.

The motorcade aimed to promote public awareness of the BJMP’s Community Relations Service programs and strengthen partnership and cooperation with various stakeholders and the community in promoting public safety and the welfare of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).

The activity also highlighted the important role of community participation and inter-agency cooperation in supporting programs that uphold the welfare, dignity, and rights of PDLs while contributing to safer and more peaceful communities.

ROMBLON, Romblon — The Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted cemetery visitation and inspection in preparation for the observance of Undas 2026 to ensure the safety, security, and orderly movement of cemetery visitors.

The activity focused on assessing the overall condition of the cemetery, identifying possible safety and security concerns, and determining appropriate measures to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance.

Police personnel inspected access points, pathways, entrances, and surrounding areas while identifying areas that may require additional security measures and police visibility during the expected influx of visitors.

The inspection also formed part of the station’s early preparations for the implementation of security and public assistance measures during All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

PCPT Mark Anthony P. Encarnacion, Officer-in-Charge of Romblon MPS, emphasized the importance of early preparation and coordination to ensure that the public can visit their departed loved ones safely and peacefully.

ROMBLON, Romblon — The Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted an information and awareness lecture for students and parents of Romblon East Central School on Republic Act No. 9262, Republic Act No. 7610, and laws concerning r**e as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen child protection and prevent violence against women and children.

The lecture aimed to provide participants with a better understanding of the legal protections afforded to women and children, the forms of abuse and violence covered by existing laws, and the importance of immediately reporting incidents to proper authorities.

The discussion on Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, highlighted the different forms of violence against women and their children, including physical, sexual, psychological, and economic abuse.

The discussion on Republic Act No. 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, emphasized the responsibility of parents, schools, communities, and authorities to protect children from abuse, exploitation, and other forms of harm.

The participants were likewise oriented on r**e and related sexual offenses, with emphasis on consent, personal safety, recognizing inappropriate behavior, and seeking immediate assistance when faced with threats or abuse.

Parents were encouraged to maintain open communication with their children, remain attentive to changes in their behavior, and create a safe environment where children can freely report concerns or experiences of abuse.

Students were reminded to know their rights, protect their personal boundaries, avoid unsafe situations, and immediately seek help from trusted adults, school authorities, or law enforcement when they feel threatened or unsafe.

ROMBLON, Romblon — The Romblon Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted a rank inspection among its personnel as part of its continuing efforts to reinforce discipline, professionalism, proper bearing, and operational readiness in the police service.

The activity was led by PLT Donna Jeanne B. Maulion, Deputy Chief of Police (DCOP), who inspected the personnel and ensured compliance with prescribed PNP standards on uniform, grooming, identification cards, equipment, and overall appearance.

The inspection also served as an opportunity to remind personnel of the importance of discipline, proper decorum, and adherence to established rules and regulations in the performance of their duties.

He further reminded personnel to consistently uphold the standards of the Philippine National Police, perform their duties with dedication, and treat every member of the community with respect and fairness.

The Romblon MPS will continue to conduct regular inspections and monitoring to ensure that its personnel remain disciplined, properly groomed, well-equipped, and ready to perform their duties.

Through these efforts, Romblon MPS reaffirms its commitment to providing professional, disciplined, and responsive police service toward a safer and more peaceful Municipality of Romblon.
