A story of a mini staircase

This 50-steps mini staircase by the hillside is a reminder of our 1-month agony, without power supply in the aftermath of typhoon Odette last Dec 2021. No electricity means water pump can’t supply water upphill.

It compelled us to maneuver our way down the slippery steep hill to fetch water. And with both hands carrying a jar full of water, climbing uphill with no trail and no railing resulted to injury to some of the family members.

And so the mini staircase was born, commissioned by the heroic efforts of Wills L. Alvarez Francis Villagonzalo Sagrid. Painted later by Alvarez Yvonne Alvarez Anthony Calaunan.
