🚨 WEATHER ADVISORY: TYPHOON “UWAN” UPDATE 🌪️

Typhoon Uwan (Fung-Wong) continues to move west-northwest, expected to cross Southern and Central Luzon with strong winds, heavy rain, and coastal surges.

📍 Provinces & Major Cities Along the Direct Path:
➡️ Catanduanes (Virac)
➡️ Camarines Sur (Naga City)
➡️ Quezon Province (Lopez, Lucena City, Polillo Islands)
➡️ Aurora (Baler)
➡️ Nueva Ecija (Cabanatuan City, San Jose)
➡️ Pangasinan / Zambales area (Alaminos, Iba) — possible exit to West Philippine Sea
🌆 Also Affected by Outer Rainbands: Metro Manila, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac

💨 Winds: Up to 200 km/h near the center; strong to damaging gusts over Bicol, Quezon, and Central Luzon.
🌧️ Rainfall: Heavy to torrential downpours likely in Bicol Region, Quezon, Aurora, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila.
🌊 Storm Surge: 1–3 meters possible along eastern coasts of Bicol and Quezon.

⚠️ Flooding & Landslide Threat:

Severe flooding expected in low-lying areas of Bicol, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Pampanga, and Nueva Ecija.

Landslides possible in mountainous areas of Camarines Sur, Quezon, Aurora, and Sierra Madre slopes.

Rivers and creeks may rise rapidly — monitor local advisories closely.
