The Municipal Government of Rosario, under the directive of Mayor Kuya Leovy Morpe, conducted the final briefing for the MBA-VSR Assessment and Validation scheduled on May 5, 2026

Dr. Josephine R. Altura, Municipal Administrator convened department heads and representatives from national government agencies, including the Philippine National Police and the Department of Education, to ensure full readiness for the activity.

The briefing covered the detailed program flow, specific roles and responsibilities of each office, and the presentation of required documents and data sets. Key logistical arrangements were confirmed, including venue preparation, assignment of focal persons, and coordination protocols during the validation process.

Reminders focused on compliance with assessment standards, timely submission of supporting documents, and proper documentation of proceedings. Emphasis was placed on inter-office coordination to ensure a smooth, organized, and objective conduct of the assessment.

The activity aims to ensure that all participating offices are aligned, prepared, and responsive to the requirements of the validation team, reflecting the municipality’s commitment to effective governance and accurate performance reporting.

𝗖𝗕𝗠𝗦 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗚𝗨𝘀

The Municipal Government of Rosario, Batangas, through the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, actively participated in the CBMS Training on Basic Statistics for Local Government Units conducted by Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office IV-A, Batangas Province, in collaboration with Colegio ng Lungsod ng Batangas. The three-day training was held from April 28 to 30, 2026 at the Batangas Provincial Statistical Office, Citimart Caedo Plaza, Brgy. Calicanto, Batangas City.

Representing the municipality were Myralyn A. Luistro, PDO III, OIC-Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, and designated Data Processing Officer, together with Roselle V. Laroza, Administrative Assistant I. They joined fellow DPOs, statisticians, and representatives from various Local Government Units across the province.

The training covered the introduction to statistics, basic statistical concepts, data management, key applications of statistics in local governance, and proper interpretation of statistical results for evidence-based planning and decision-making. Participants were also guided on the importance of reliable data in the formulation of development plans, policy recommendations, and delivery of responsive public services.

According to the PSA, this activity forms part of a three-phase capacity development program in preparation for the official turnover of the Community-Based Monitoring System database to LGUs. The initiative aims to strengthen the capability of LGUs in managing, analyzing, and maximizing CBMS data for local planning, budgeting, and program implementation.

The Municipality of Rosario, Batangas, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Kuya Leovy Morpe, continues to strengthen its administrative capabilities through its participation in the Training on Secretariat Services held on April 28–29, 2026 at The Bayleaf, General Trias, Cavite.

The activity focused on enhancing procedures and protocols in the conduct of council and committee meetings, promoting efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism in secretariat functions. It was further enriched by the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DEPDev) Region IV-A training sessions, with resource speakers Dr. Gina Gacusan, Dr. Carmel Matabang, and Assistant Regional Director Lovely Mores, who shared valuable insights on governance and public service improvement.

Representing the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDC), Engr. May S. Hernandez and Ms. Rica Shane B. Sanchez actively participated in the training, reaffirming the LGU’s commitment to effective governance and improved public service delivery.

The Municipality of Rosario, Batangas, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Kuya Leovy Morpe, participated in the PAG-IBIG Housing Fair for South Luzon held on April 28, 2026 at Jose Rizal Coliseum, Calamba City, Laguna.

The activity featured orientations on the RHCL Program, Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, and the Group Sale/Bulk Sale of PAG-IBIG Acquired Assets, aimed at strengthening housing initiatives for LGUs.

Representing the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), Ms. Eden Contreras, together with representatives from the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO), Darlyn U. De Los Reyes attended the event, reaffirming the Municipality’s commitment to providing accessible and sustainable housing opportunities for its constituents towards a Mas Maigeng Rosario.

The Municipality of Rosario, Batangas, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Kuya Leovy Morpe, continues to strengthen its commitment to effective and responsive local governance through the successful conduct of the Training on Secretariat Services: Procedures and Protocols for the Conduct of Council and Committee Meetings, held on April 27, 2026 at the New ABC Hall, Poblacion B, Rosario, Batangas. This initiative underscores the LGU’s dedication to enhancing administrative efficiency, standardizing processes, and ensuring the orderly and productive conduct of official meetings—geared toward a Mas Maigeng Rosario.

Led by the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) in coordination with concerned offices and secretariat personnel, the training served as a vital platform to deepen understanding of proper meeting procedures, documentation standards, and established protocols. It aimed to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support council and committee functions, ensuring that decisions and resolutions are accurately recorded and efficiently implemented.

The activity was attended by representatives from various offices, each handling different governance pillars, fostering collaboration and alignment across sectors. This multi-sectoral participation further strengthened coordination and ensured that standardized procedures are consistently applied in all council and committee engagements.

Through this capacity-building activity, the LGU reinforces its commitment to professionalism, good governance, and continuous improvement in public service delivery. Strengthening secretariat services plays a crucial role in fostering organized, transparent, and results-driven governance—empowering the Municipality of Rosario to better serve its constituents.

By institutionalizing structured training on secretariat services, the Municipality of Rosario continues to uphold its vision of a more efficient and service-oriented local government—truly embodying a “Gobyernong Nagpupursige Para sa Rosario – Mas Maige.”
