ILOILO CITY – Mahigit 2.66 kilo ng hinihinalang shabu na nagkakahalaga ng PhP18,095,480.00 ang nasamsam, habang 76 drug personalities ang naaresto sa 63 anti-illegal drug operations ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) sa Western Visayas mula Agosto 1 hanggang 15, 2026.

Sa mga naaresto, 24 ang High-Value Individuals (HVIs), habang 52 ang Street-Level Individuals (SLIs). Bukod sa shabu, nakumpiska rin ang humigit-kumulang 14 gramo ng ma*****na na nagkakahalaga ng PhP1,680.00.

Nanguna ang Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) sa bilang ng mga operasyon na may 27, sinundan ng Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) na may 17. Nagsagawa rin ng mga operasyon ang Aklan, Antique, Capiz, at Guimaras Police Provincial Offices, gayundin ang Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RDEU6).

Sa halaga ng mga nasamsam na ilegal na droga, nanguna ang IPPO na may PhP10.7 milyon, sinundan ng ICPO na may PhP2.79 milyon at RDEU6 na may PhP2.55 milyon.

Binigyang-diin ni PRO6 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Randulf T Tuaño na ang resulta ay nagpapakita ng patuloy na pagtutok ng PRO6 sa intelligence-driven at targeted operations laban sa mga sangkot sa ilegal na droga.

“Ang pagkakasamsam ng mahigit 2.66 kilo ng hinihinalang shabu sa loob lamang ng 15 araw ay bunga ng masusing intelligence gathering at koordinasyon ng ating mga yunit. Hindi lamang natin tinutugis ang mga nagbebenta sa lansangan; tinutukoy din natin ang mga nasa likod ng kanilang operasyon at distribution networks,” ani PBGen Tuaño.

“Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang kampanya upang maputol ang daloy ng ilegal na droga at maprotektahan ang ating mga komunidad, lalo na ang kabataan, mula sa mapaminsalang epekto nito,” dagdag niya.

Patuloy ang intelligence gathering, case build-up, at follow-up operations ng PRO6 upang matukoy at mapanagot ang iba pang sangkot sa ilegal na droga sa Western Visayas.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay bahagi ng pagsusulong ng PRO6 ng RESPONSIVE, TRUSTED, and TRANSFORMATIVE POLICING for a safer Western Visayas, alinsunod sa bisyon ng "BAGONG PNP PARA SA BAGONG PILIPINAS: SERBISYONG MABILIS, TAPAT, AT NARARAMDAMAN."

BARANGAY LEADERS HELP TURN OVER 20 LOOSE FI****MS IN ANTIQUE

The Philippine National Police (PNP) continues to strengthen its partnership with communities as local leaders in Antique helped facilitate the voluntary turnover of 20 loose fi****ms and six rounds of ammunition, reflecting the growing role of citizens in keeping their communities safe.

The fi****ms were voluntarily turned over on August 14 during a community engagement activity in Valderrama, Antique, with the participation of 17 Punong Barangays who coordinated with local police in encouraging residents to surrender fi****ms that were not properly authorized or registered.

The turned-over fi****ms consisted of eight homemade long-barreled bolt-action shotguns, ten .38-caliber revolvers, and two .22 Magnum fi****ms. The activity formed part of the continuing police effort to account for loose fi****ms and encourage their voluntary surrender through appropriate channels.

For Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., the accomplishment shows what can happen when police work is matched by community cooperation.

“Kapag may tiwala, mas madaling magtulungan. Hindi lang ito tungkol sa mga baril na isinuko—mas mahalaga na may mga barangay leaders na handang makipag-ugnayan at tumulong sa pagpapanatili ng seguridad sa kanilang lugar. We want that kind of partnership to grow, because public safety works best when police and communities move together.”

The initiative is consistent with the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which emphasizes responsive police work supported by coordination and community participation. It also supports the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in promoting safer and more peaceful communities through strengthened public cooperation and responsible law enforcement.

The PNP encourages individuals who may still have loose or unauthorized fi****ms to coordinate with the nearest police station and follow the proper procedures for their lawful turnover. Through sustained police-community partnership, the PNP remains committed to building safer communities and advancing the “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

ILOILO CITY – Naisilbi ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) ang warrant laban sa dalawang Most Wanted Person sa magkahiwalay na operasyon sa Capiz noong Agosto 17, 2026.

Bandang 3:30 ng hapon, isinilbi ng Maayon Municipal Police Station (MPS) ang Warrant of Arrest laban kay alyas “Denden,” 51 taong gulang, Top 3 Municipal-Level Most Wanted Person ng Maayon, habang nasa kustodiya siya ng Capiz Rehabilitation Center sa Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.

Nahaharap siya sa kasong Homicide sa ilalim ng Article 249 ng Revised Penal Code. Ang warrant ay inilabas noong Agosto 12, 2026 ng Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 18, Roxas City, na may inirekomendang piyansang PhP120,000. Nanatili siya sa kustodiya ng nasabing pasilidad para sa kaukulang legal na proseso.

Samantala, bandang 5:44 ng hapon, naaresto ng Tracker Team ng Pototan MPS, katuwang ang Dao MPS, si alyas “JP,” 18 taong gulang, Top 8 Provincial-Level Most Wanted Person ng Iloilo, sa Barangay Agtambi, Dao, Capiz.

Isinilbi laban sa kanya ang Warrant of Arrest para sa kasong Attempted Murder sa ilalim ng Article 248, kaugnay ng Article 6 ng Revised Penal Code. Ang warrant ay inilabas noong Hulyo 24, 2026 ng Regional Trial Court, Branch 68, Dumangas, Iloilo, na may inirekomendang piyansang PhP120,000. Siya ay kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng Pototan MPS para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at disposisyon.

“Ang mga operasyong ito ay nagpapakita ng kahalagahan ng koordinasyon ng ating mga police units at iba pang ahensya. Nasaan man ang mga wanted person, patuloy nating ipatutupad ang mga warrant ng hukuman upang maiharap sila sa wastong proseso ng batas,” ani PRO6 Regional Director PBGen Randulf T Tuaño.

Arestado sang Iloilo City Police Station 2 ukon La Paz PNP ang isa ka Ilongga nga kilala nga scammer sa New Zealand matapos ginserbe sa iya ang warrant of arrest sa Nabitasan, La Paz, Iloilo City, sang Agosto 13, alas-9:30 sang gab-i.

Ginkilala ang scammer kay alyas Pearl nga naga-edad 37-anyos.

Sa interview sang Bombo Radyo kay Police Major Sonny Boy Garnace, hepe sang ICPS 2, iya ginpahayag nga ang pagdakop sa suspek ang paagi sa warrant nga may kaangtanan sa paglapas sa Section 5 sang Republic Act 8042, nga gin-amendar sang Republic Act 10022, ukon Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995.

Ginpahayag sang hepe nga indi ang ICPS 2 ang nag-file sang kaso kundi ginpatuman lamang nila ang warrant of arrest batok sa suspetsado.

Suno sa Immigration New Zealand, may yara sang kaso sa New Zealand si alyas Pearl kun sa diin ginsentensyahan siya sang pito ka bulan nga Home Detention kag NZ$25,000 ukon P726,600 nga reparation bangud sa lima ka work visa applications nga gin-submit gamit ang mga peke nga Certificate of Employment.

Pahayag pa nga gin-charge sini ang kada aplikante sang NZ$11,000 ukon P399,630 kabaylo sang full-time employment sa New Zealand.

Apang, pag-abot sang mga aplikante sa nasambit nga pungsod, wala man ang mga ini sang trabaho nga nabaton kag napilitan nga magpauli.

Dugang pa, may ginpatukod man si alyas Pearl nga kompanya nga amo ang RDS Wonders Contract Limited, nga nangin accredited employer sa New Zealand.

Apang, gin-revoke ang accreditation matapos ang imbestigasyon sa iban pa nga immigration-related offenses sang suspetsado.

Ginapahayag nga 16 ka migrant workers nga konektado sa kompanya ang ginhatagan sang protection visas bangud sa mga reklamo sang unpaid wages kag iban pa nga labor violations.

12 ka associates naman sang suspetsado ang nagapangatubang man sang deportation proceedings bangod sa nagkalain-lain nga immigration violations.

Sa subong, ginpahayag ni PMaj Garnace nga yara sa kustodiya sang ICPS 2 si Alyas “Pearl” kag ginahulat sang mga otoridad ang sunod nga tikang sang korte lakip na ang pag-isyu sang commitment order para sa detention sang suspetsado.

PNP STATEMENT ON REPORTED INCIDENT AT A PRIVATE SCHOOL IN ZAMBOANGA

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the Police Regional Office 9 and the Zamboanga City Police Office, promptly responded to the recently reported shooting incident inside a private school in Zamboanga City.

Police personnel immediately coordinated with school authorities and other concerned agencies to ensure the safety and orderly movement of students, faculty, and school personnel. The situation is now under control.

The PNP likewise encourages parents and guardians to remain calm and follow the school's advisory, particularly on the designated time and arrangements for picking up their children. This will help ensure an orderly process and allow responding personnel to carry out their responsibilities without unnecessary congestion.

Authorities are currently establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident. The PNP will provide verified information as appropriate and appeals to the public to refrain from sharing unconfirmed reports, photos, or videos that may cause unnecessary concern.

The PNP assures the public that the safety and well-being of the school community remain a priority. We thank the school administration, parents, guardians, and the community for their patience, cooperation, and understanding as authorities continue to manage the situation.

PRO6 PUTS SUSTAINED PRESSURE ON CRIME, DRUGS AND GUNS

In just 15 days, crime went down, wanted persons were arrested, illegal drugs were seized, fi****ms were taken off the streets and environmental offenders were hauled in.

That is what happens when police presence is felt.

From August 1 to 15, focus crimes in Western Visayas dropped by 37.08%, from 89 cases last year to only 56 this year.

Homicide and motorcycle carnapping recorded zero cases. R**e dropped by 63.64%, murder by 60%, robbery by 35.29%, and theft by 13.04%.

But here is the important part — while crime figures were going down, police operations were going up.

Under PRO6 Director PBGen Randulf Tuaño, police arrested 151 wanted persons in just 15 days.

The anti-drug campaign was equally aggressive. PRO6 conducted 63 operations, arrested 74 suspects and recovered more than ₱18 million worth of suspected shabu and kush.

Then there are the guns.

Through Project R.T.T., police accounted for 283 fi****ms, including 226 voluntarily surrendered or turned over by citizens. Thirteen persons were also arrested in fi****ms-related cases.

And PRO6 did not stop at conventional crime.

Police conducted 187 operations against illegal logging and illegal fishing, arresting 204 individuals and recovering or confiscating more than ₱16.18 million worth of lumber, charcoal, fish, fishing paraphernalia and other items.

Put all these figures together and one thing becomes clear.

PRO6 is not sitting in police stations waiting for crime to happen. It is bringing the fight to the streets, tracking down wanted persons, disrupting the drug trade, removing illegal fi****ms and protecting the region’s natural resources.

That is the kind of policing people notice. Crime is down because police presence is up.

And when the police are visible, active and determined, criminals have fewer places to hide.

One day, 278 minors: PRO6 steps up Oplan Sagip Bata

Nearly 300 minors were reached by police across Western Visayas in a single day as the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) stepped up Oplan Sagip Bata, a preventive campaign aimed at keeping children away from unsafe road behavior and other situations that may put them at risk.

PRO6 said 248 operations were conducted on August 16 across Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo province, and Iloilo City, involving 278 minors.

The interventions focused on road safety, compliance with local ordinances, and situations where police said minors needed guidance or assistance before more serious harm could occur.

Iloilo province recorded the highest number, with 82 operations involving 104 minors. Aklan followed with 59 operations involving 59 minors; Antique, 42 involving 47; Capiz, 28 involving 44; Guimaras, 15 involving 15; and Iloilo City, 22 operations involving nine minors.

PRO6 Regional Director Brig. Gen. Randulf T. Tuaño said the campaign is intended to emphasize prevention rather than punishment.

“Our priority is to keep children safe. When we see situations that may put them at risk, we step in, remind them of the rules, and take the appropriate action,” Tuaño said.

He also urged parents and guardians to take a more active role, particularly in teaching children about road safety and compliance with local regulations.

“Parents and guardians are our strongest partners in keeping children safe,” Tuaño said. “Protecting our children is a shared responsibility.”

Oplan Sagip Bata has been expanded across Western Visayas in recent weeks, with police focusing on minors found in potentially unsafe situations, including those involving road safety and curfew rules.

PRO6 said it will continue coordinating with local governments, parents, and communities under the PNP’s broader Safer Cities Initiative.
