PBGEN PORTIA B MANALAD persistent efforts and hard work of upholding the rights of women and children, combating against trafficking in persons and ensuring the welfare of its victims has finally paid off, as she has been appointed by President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr as a Star Rank Officer, effective today.
PBGEN PORTIA B MANALAD is the 1st ever Female PNPA graduate, PNP GENERAL. As a backgrounder, Cadet Portia Bañaga entered the PNP Academy in 1993 availing Section 7 of RA 7192-Admission to Military School, and she completed the course of Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) in 1995 as the lone and first female graduate of PNPA. PBGEN PORTIA B MANALAD is the first recipient of Republic Act 7192 "Women in Development and Nation Building Act of 1992". She is included in the Women Corner of PNP Museum being the first female cadet graduate and is the first female PNP Officer designated as City Director of Cotabato City.
Through her leadership, passion and dedication of providing service to the community, the Center guarantees that PBGEN MANALAD has a lot to offer of bringing passion and devotion into action to act as a catalyst in maintaining public order and safety, enforcing the law, and preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal activities.
