Pasay City – Personnel of the PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), in coordination with the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Bureau of Immigration (BI), intercepted and arrested a male arriving passenger who was found to be the subject of an Alias Warrant of Arrest at the International Arrival Area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. on August 22, 2026.

The passenger, an arriving foreign national from Taipei, was intercepted by the Bureau of Immigration following coordination from QCPD personnel regarding an Alias Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court of Bulacan, Branch 17, Malolos City, for violation of Section 5(e)(2) of Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004. He was subsequently turned over to QCPD personnel and formally arrested after verification and proper documentation.

“This successful operation demonstrates our continued commitment to maintaining the security of our airports while ensuring that wanted persons are properly identified, intercepted, and turned over to the appropriate authorities for proper disposition,” said PBGEN Dionisio Bartolome Jr., Director, PNP AVSEGROUP.

The arrested individual is now under the custody of the QCPD Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit for documentation and further legal proceedings. # # #
