The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Regional Training Center (RTC) Capiz formally recognized 173 male trainees during the Recognition Ceremony of the Coast Guard Non-Officersβ Course (CGNOC) Class 118-2025 βHIRAYA BADARI,β held at the Regional Training Center Capiz, Culasi Port, Brgy. Culasi, Roxas City, Capiz today, April 23, 2026.
The Commander of Coast Guard District Western Visayas (CGDWV), Commodore Ludovico D Librilla Jr PCG, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message, he underscored the vital importance of discipline, dedication, and excellence in training, reminding the trainees of the life-saving responsibility they will soon carry.
βTrain hard nowβbecause one day, someone elseβs life will depend on how well you did. Let that sink in. The skills you practice, the discipline you build, and the standards you choose to follow will not only define your career, but may one day mean the difference between life and loss at sea,β he emphasized.
The trainees successfully completed a rigorous four-month training program designed to enhance their physical endurance, mental resilience, moral integrity, and spiritual readiness. Throughout their boot camp journey, they were challenged beyond their perceived limits, equipping them with the competence and character necessary to meet the demanding duties of Coast Guard service.
As part of the ceremony, Commodore Librilla PCG was also presented with a plaque of appreciation in recognition of his steadfast support and commitment to the Regional Training Center Capiz.
The PCG continues to uphold its mission of developing highly capable, disciplined, and service-oriented personnel, ready to safeguard life and ensure maritime security.
