The invention was developed by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐋. 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐞, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐀. 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐣𝐨, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐋. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐎𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫, whose collective efforts led to this notable achievement.

The Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) of Capiz State University – Main Campus successfully conducted the S𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐏 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 on April 21, 2026, at the Dadivas Auditorium, CAPSU Main Campus. The activity aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of intellectual property rights and their importance in protecting innovations, research outputs, and creative works within the academic community.

The program formally commenced with a welcome message from the Research Chair, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐒. 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐨. This was followed by an insightful presentation on the Intellectual Property (IP) System and the significance of intellectual property and the academe, delivered by the resource speaker, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐑. 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞.

Participants were introduced to key concepts and the significance of protecting innovations through comprehensive discussions on the Nature and Advantages of Patent Protection, Copyright Protection, and Trademark Protection, presented by 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐄𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐁. 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬.

The session provided valuable insights and practical knowledge, enabling participants to better appreciate how intellectual property rights safeguard creativity, research outputs, and innovations within the academic community.

The seminar concluded with a closing message delivered by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥 𝐁. 𝐃𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚, IPMO Staff on behalf of 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐳, 𝐉𝐫., IPMO Chair, marking the event as a successful and meaningful learning experience for all attendees.

The Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) of Capiz State University - Burias Campus, in collaboration with Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) successfully conducted the 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐏 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐬 on April 20, 2026, at the Gov. Vicente Bermejo Hall, CAPSU Burias Campus.

The activity formally opened with a warm message from the Campus Administrator, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐝𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐁. 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐦, followed by an insightful overview of the Intellectual Property (IP) System by IPMO Chair, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐧 𝐁. 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐫.

In pursuit of providing our EyLITE Incubatees with meaningful real-world exposure, the EyLITE Industry Immersion Activity was conducted on April 16–17, 2026, across selected industry firms and institutions in Bacolod City, Bago City, and Iloilo City.

This initiative aims to provide our EyLITE incubatees with first-hand exposure to real-world industry operations and best practices, allowing them to gain deeper insights, strengthen their perspectives, and explore opportunities for collaboration and growth in their respective fields.

The activity was led by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐁. 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, together with 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐀. 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐠, IPMO Director, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐨𝐲𝐜𝐢𝐞 𝐀.
