IPC Socials Night: IPCNAC in Inside Out Inspired

The Infection Prevention and Control Nurses Association of Capiz (IPCNAC) came alive with color, joy, and vibrant energy during the much-awaited IPC Socials Night held at Goldberry Lite Hotel, Iloilo City. 🎨✨

With an Inside Out–inspired theme, the evening was a fun celebration of emotions, camaraderie, and unity, reminding us that behind every mask, gown, and protocol are dedicated nurses who bring heart, passion, and joy to their work. From the colorful outfits to the laughter-filled moments, it was a perfect night to unwind, connect, and celebrate the hard work and shared commitment of every IPC nurse in Capiz. 💛💙💜💚❤️

Sen. Gerardo M. Roxas Memorial District Hospital clinched the CHAMPION title in the Photojournalism Contest during the Regional Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Consultation 2026: Advancing Through Updates and Innovations, held July 28-30, 2026 at Goldberry Lite Hotel, Iloilo City.

CAPIZ CLAIMS BACK‑TO‑BACK CHAMPIONSHIP AT 2ND REGIONAL IPC QUIZ BOWL

The Province of Capiz emerged as Champion in the 2nd Regional Infection Prevention and Control Quiz Bowl, organized by the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development - Health Facility Development Unit (DOH WV CHD - HFDU) held at Goldberry Lite Hotel, Iloilo City, July 19, 2026. This marks an impressive second consecutive championship title, having also brought home top recognition during the previous year’s competition.

CAPIZ IPC NURSES TAKE HISTORIC OATH: PIONEERING IPCNAC 🛡️

Marking a landmark moment for healthcare safety in the province, the Infection Prevention and Control Nurses Association of Capiz (IPCNAC) held its official Oathtaking of Officers and Board of Directors today. Administering the solemn oath was Dr. Jessel Gellada, Head of the Health Facility Development Unit (HFDU) Region VI, Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH WV CHD) this afternoon, July 29, 2026 at Goldberry Lite Hotel, Iloilo City.

This gathering makes IPCNAC the very first organized professional group of IPC Nurses in Capiz, a true pioneer initiative that unites IPC practitioners across public and private hospitals under one shared vision.

Led by its founding officers, the association commits to standardizing infection control practices, strengthening collaboration between health facilities, and building a unified defense against healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and antimicrobial resistance in the province of Capiz. The oath signals not just personal commitment, but a collective promise: to elevate IPC standards, protect patients and frontliners, and bring safety closer to every Capiznon community.

IPCNAC CAPIZ PRESIDENT TAKES PART AS RESOURCE SPEAKER IN DOH‑LED IPC CONSULTATION 2026

Ma. Regina A. Palomo, MAN, RN, President of the Infection Prevention and Control Nurses Association of Capiz (IPCNAC), served as one of the resource speakers at the Regional Infection Prevention and Control Consultation 2026. Held at GoldBerry Lite Hotel, Iloilo City from July 28 to 30, 2026. The event gathers IPC Nurses and representatives across Western Visayas.

Ms. Palomo shared insights on strengthening collaboration between Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and efforts to address Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). She emphasized that consistent IPC measures reduce infection rates, limit unnecessary antibiotic use, and slow the spread of resistant pathogens.

With aligned efforts, sustained cooperation, building a stronger, coordinated defense against infection and antimicrobial resistance, integrating unified protocols, shared monitoring, and strengthened stewardship it will build a safer, more resilient healthcare services across the region.

Making History: 1st IPC Inter-Hospital Quiz Bowl in Capiz

The Infection Prevention and Control Nurse Association of Capiz (IPCN Capiz) proudly held its 1st IPC Inter-Hospital Quiz Bowl on June 27, 2026, at the Miraculous Medal Multi-Purpose Hall, Montañeta, Saint Anthony College Hospital, Roxas City, Capiz.

This activity highlights IPC Week 2026 Celebration with the theme “Building Responsive IPC System: Strengthening, Monitoring, Collaboration and Resilience,” the activity brought together healthcare institutions across the province in a meaningful competition that highlighted knowledge, teamwork, and commitment to infection prevention and control.

The event served as a venue to strengthen IPC awareness, promote collaboration among hospitals, and inspire continuous learning among healthcare workers dedicated to patient safety and quality care.
