Joint Anti-Drug Operation in Roxas City Leads to Arrest of Two SLI Targets, Seizure of 136K Worth of Suspected Shabu

Roxas City, Capiz — A joint team from the Capiz Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), together with PDEA 6–Capiz Provincial Office, Roxas City Police Station (Roxas CPS), and the 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st CPMFC), under the supervision of Police Colonel David L Cachumbo, Jr, OIC successfully arrested two individuals alias “Tina” and “Jojo,” both listed as Street Level Individuals (SLI), during a drug buy-bust operation conducted at around 9:33 PM on August 5, 2026, at Barangay Dayao, Roxas City, Capiz.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of six (6) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu approximately twenty (20) grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP136,000.00, one (1) bladed weapon, and several non-drug items.

The arrested individuals are currently under the custody of Roxas CPS for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges in violation of existing drug laws.

The successful operation highlights the strong collaboration among law enforcement agencies in intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs and protecting communities from the adverse effects of narcotics.

Capiz COPS Strike Against Illegal Drugs, Arrests SLI in Roxas City

Roxas City, Capiz — Personnel of the Roxas City Police Station, under the supervision of Police Colonel David L Cachumbo, Jr, OIC, Capiz Police Provincial Office, successfully arrested an alias “Rea,” identified as a Provincial Priority Target, during a drug buy-bust operation conducted at around 10:29 AM on August 5, 2026, in Barangay Dayao, Roxas City, Capiz.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of approximately five (5) grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PhP 34,000.00.
Recovered from the suspect were four (4) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and several non-drug items.
The arrested individual is currently under the custody of Roxas CPS for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges in violation of existing drug laws.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office remains steadfast in its commitment to intensify anti-illegal drug operations and ensure a safer and drug-free community for the people of Capiz.

Capiz PPO Strengthens Partnership with First District Representative of Capiz

Roxas City, Capiz — The Capiz Police Provincial Office, led by Police Colonel David L Cachumbo, Jr, OIV, Capiz PPO, conducted a courtesy call on Hon. Howard A. Guinto, First District Representative of Capiz at the Office of the 1st District Representative, Malapajo Building, Brgy. Lawaan, Roxas City on August 6, 2026.

Police Colonel Cachumbo, Jr together with the Command Group composed of Police Lieutenant Colonel Jose L Badilla, Jr, Police Lieutenant Colonel Rogelio L Tomagtang, Jr, Police Lieutenant Colonel Bryant T Fallera, and Police Lieutenant Colonel Arthemius A Devaras, was received by Harel Rainer O Dayan, Chief Political Affairs Officer, Atty. Jericho Acedera, and Atty. Clinton Golingay.

The courtesy call aimed to strengthen coordination and partnership between the Philippine National Police and the Office of the First District Representative, particularly in sustaining peace and order, enhancing public safety, and supporting initiatives for the welfare of the Capiceño community.

Iloilo City – Matagumpay na naaresto ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) ang Top 3 Municipal Level Most Wanted Person ng Sta. Barbara, Iloilo sa isinagawang manhunt operation sa Barangay Quintin Salas, Jalbuena Subdivision, Jaro, Iloilo City, bandang 6:24 ng gabi noong Agosto 5, 2026.

Kinilala ang naarestong suspek na si alyas "Cris," 39 taong gulang, may asawa, family driver, at dating nakatira sa Sta. Barbara, Iloilo at ngayon ay residente ng Jaro, Iloilo City.

Naaresto ang suspek sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest kaugnay ng kasong Lascivious Conduct sa ilalim ng Section 5(b) ng Republic Act No. 7610 o Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. Ang warrant ay inilabas ng Family Court, Regional Trial Court, Branch 5, Iloilo City, na may petsang Hulyo 30, 2026, na may inirekomendang piyansang PhP200,000.00 para sa pansamantalang kalayaan ng akusado.

Ang matagumpay na operasyon ay bunga masusing intelligence validation, surveillance, at target profiling na isinagawa ng Tracker Team ng Iloilo City Police Station 2, sa pakikipagtulungan ng Santa Barbara Municipal Police Station ng Iloilo Police Provincial Office.

Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng ICPS2 ang suspek para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at disposisyon.

Pinuri ni Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Randulf T Tuaño, ang mga operatiba sa matagumpay na operasyon.

”Ang pagkakaaresto sa isang most wanted person ay bunga ng masusing intelligence work at dedikasyon ng ating mga operatiba. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang manhunt operations upang matiyak na ang mga taong may kinahaharap na kaso ay maaaresto at maihaharap sa hukuman. Hindi tayo titigil hangga't naipagkakaloob ang hustisya, lalo na sa mga kasong kinasasangkutan ng mga bata," ani PBGen Tuaño.

AKLAN – Naaresto ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) ang Top 5 Provincial-Level Most Wanted Person ng Aklan sa isinagawang manhunt operation sa Barangay Silakat Nonok, Lezo, Aklan, bandang 9:16 ng umaga noong Agosto 6, 2026.

Ang akusado, na kinilala sa alyas na “Arnold,” 39 taong gulang, may asawa, at residente ng Barangay Agcawilan, Lezo, Aklan, ay inaresto ng mga operatiba ng Lezo Municipal Police Station (MPS) sa tulong ng Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) ng Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO), Aklan PPO Tracker Team, at Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) ng Regional Intelligence Unit 6 (RIU6).

Naaresto ang akusado sa bisa ng Warrant of Arrest para sa tatlong bilang ng Qualified R**e sa ilalim ng Article 266-A (1) ng Revised Penal Code na inilabas ng Regional Trial Court, Branch 3, Sixth Judicial Region, Kalibo, Aklan noong Agosto 4, 2026. Walang inirekomendang piyansa para sa pansamantala nitong paglaya.

Pinuri ni PRO6 Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Randulf T Tuaño, ang matagumpay na operasyon ng Lezo MPS at ng mga katuwang nitong yunit, at muling binigyang-diin ang patuloy na pagpapatupad ng intelligence-driven manhunt operations laban sa mga wanted person.

"Ang mabilis na pag-aresto sa mga wanted person ay malinaw na patunay ng dedikasyon ng ating kapulisan sa pagpapatupad ng batas. Sa tulong ng mahusay na koordinasyon at maagap na pagkilos ng ating mga operating units, patuloy nating pinatitibay ang kapayapaan at seguridad sa Western Visayas habang tinitiyak na ang hustisya ay naipagkakaloob sa mga biktima.” ani PBGen Tuaño.

Kasalukuyang nasa kustudiya ng Lezo MPS ang akusado para sa booking at iba pang kaukulang dokumentasyon bago ito iharap sa hukuman na nagpalabas ng warrant.

Patuloy na pinalalakas ng PRO6 ang kampanya laban sa mga wanted person bilang bahagi ng layunin nitong isulong ang RESPONSIVE, TRUSTED, AND TRANSFORMATIVE POLICING tungo sa mas ligtas at mas mapayapang Western Visayas.
