As the Holy See, Pope Francis articulated in one of his masses, as Christians, we possess mercy and compassion to our least brothers and sisters, that we must be mindful of other people’s struggles and pains in life. Hence, the teachers of other department and friends from other sectors expressed their benevolence to support the project by some amount or cash donations.

Indeed, this is a perfect time for us to heed the words of the Holy Father. We are placed in a certain situation or circumstance to demonstrate love and compassion to those who are in need by exhibiting genuine altruism, that is, without any consideration neither it is governed by ulterior motives. God blesses us with much of His earthly possessions, it is just and right to give back what is due to Him by sharing and giving.

Thus, the ultimate reason why the Scholarship Program came into existence is the basic precept that, we live not for ourselves but for the good of others.
