The Capiz Branch Office successfully conducted its Semi-Annual Physical Inventory Count on May 18–19 and May 25–26, 2026 across its warehouses.

The activity was witnessed by the Branch Inventory Committee, Silma Revesencio, State Auditor II from the Commission on Audit (COA), and SAO Cashmere G. Gemarino, and Maricris Chua representative from the NFA Western Visayas Region Office.

This inventory activity aims to validate and reconcile the stock ledger balances with the actual physical inventory on hand, ensuring accountability, transparency, and accuracy in warehouse operations.

The symbolic turnover of responsibility between outgoing Assistant Branch Manager Mellany M. Vento and incoming Acting Assistant Branch Manager Andy P. Ostan was formally conducted in the presence of Regional Manager Rodolfo W. Corpuz, Assistant Regional Manager Ovelito C. Baritua, Branch Managers, Capiz Branch personnel and staff.

The ceremony marked the official transition of leadership and reaffirmed the commitment of NFA Capiz Branch to continue working together in the pursuit of its goals and mandate.

Kaisa ang National Food Authority sa buong bansa sa pagdiriwang ng Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month ngayong buwan ng Mayo na may temang: “Achieving Results through Transparency and Accountability: Towards a More Productive Bagong Pilipinas.”
Ang inisyatibong ito ay itinataguyod sa bisa ng Presidential Proclamation No. 818 at ng Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA). Ang kampanya para sa 2026 ay nagbibigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng mas mabilis, makatao, at nakatuon sa mamamayang serbisyo, gayundin sa patuloy na pagbabawas ng red tape sa mga proseso ng pamahalaan.
Ang National Food Authority (NFA) ay nakikiisa sa pagpapatibay sa patuloy na pangako ng pamahalaan na maghatid ng mas mabilis, mas episyente, at mas transparent na mga serbisyo publiko para sa bawat Pilipino.

Patuloy ang pagbili ng NFA Capiz ng palay sa halagang ₱30/kilo para sa CLEAN at DRY na may 11%–14% moisture content o PD1A

Para naman sa wet palay, ang buying price ay ibabatay sa ENWF (Equivalent Net Weight Factor).

Tandaan: Ang maximum procurable volume ay hanggang 200 bags bawat magsasaka, depende sa kanilang ani.

A Personnel Reorientation and Functional Re-briefing for the employees of Region VI was successfully conducted at the NFA Capiz Branch Office, bringing together all personnel in an effort to reinforce and update their understanding of individual roles, responsibilities, and functions in support of the agency’s mandate.

The activity served as an important reminder of each employee’s contribution to the overall operations.

The meeting also provided a valuable platform to align personnel with the agency’s current priorities and policies.

Lecturers from various departments shared meaningful insights into their respective roles in NFA operations, offering a deeper understanding on how each unit contributes to the agency’s success. They also emphasized the importance of accountability in every transaction, highlighting the potential consequences of actions and decisions in the workplace.

Lastly, the re-briefing activity aimed to contribute to a more effective, efficient, and service-driven performance of NFA Region VI.

NFA Capiz Branch gathered in support to the celebration of Filipino Food Month (FFM) with the theme "𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆: 𝑭𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝑭𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝑭𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝑺𝑬𝑨𝑵", highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting the rich culinary heritage of the Philippines and stengthening the awareness of the value of local produce particularly rice, as a staple in every Filipino household.

Adding also a flavor to the celebration, the variety of ASEAN snacks, that offers a glimpse into the different and vibrant food culture of neighboring countries, promoting a deeper regional appreciation and unity through shared culinary traditions.

Matagumpay na isinagawa ang paglulunsad ng programang Benteng Bigas Meron Na sa mga bodega ng Sigma at Dumalag bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap na maitaguyod ang abot-kayang bigas para sa mamamayan.

Noong ika-20 ng Abril 2026, ginanap ang paglulunsad sa Dumalag Warehouse, na sinundan naman noong ika-21 ng Abril 2026 sa Sigma Warehouse. Humigit-kumulang sa 400 katao ang dumalo sa nasabing aktibidad, na nagpapakita ng malawak na suporta ng kumunidad sa programa.

Ito ay patunay ng sama-samang pagkilos ng pamahalaan at komunidad upang matiyak ang seguridad sa pagkain at kaginhawaan ng bawat Pilipino.
