Walang Kabataang Maiiwan: Pag-asa, Pagkakataon, at Kinabukasan para sa Lahat!
February 26, 2025

STRONGER TOGETHER: BUILDING SCHOOL-BASED TEEN CENTERS FOR OUR YOUTH! I February 27,2025

With the strong support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Leo G. Cusi Sr., the Population Development Office, led by Ms. Gemma G. Marcelo, is taking a significant step in ensuring a brighter, healthier future for our adolescents. In a productive discussion with Dr. Gerald H. Culla, Principal II of Dangay National High School, and Sir Ricky A. Apostol, Principal IV of San Mariano National High School, the proposal to establish School-Based Teen Centers was brought forward—a vital initiative that will serve as a safe space for students to receive guidance, health services, and empowerment programs.

Why Schools Need Teen Centers NOW:

✅ Strong Support for Mental Health – Provides counseling and psychosocial services to help students navigate stress, anxiety, and personal challenges.
✅ Prevention of Teenage Pregnancy – Equips adolescents with knowledge and life skills to make informed and responsible choices.
✅ Health & Wellness Hub – Offers access to adolescent-friendly services, reproductive health education, and wellness programs.
✅ Leadership & Personal Development – Empowers young people with decision-making, communication, and self-confidence skills.
✅ Reduces Risky Behaviors – Acts as a preventive program against substance abuse, violence, and other harmful activities.

With Mayor Leo G. Cusi Sr.’s leadership and unwavering commitment to adolescent health and development, we are confident that every school in our municipality can become a safe and nurturing environment for our youth.

This is our call to action—schools must rise to the challenge and prioritize the well-being of our students. When we invest in Teen Centers, we invest in a healthier, more empowered generation—the future of our community!
With the guidance and support of our school heads, educators, and local leaders, we can transform our schools into nurturing environments where every adolescent feels valued, supported, and empowered.

Now is the time to act and invest in our youth! Schools must take the lead in establishing Teen Centers—because when we prioritize adolescent health, we invest in a brighter, stronger future for our community.
