𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

As part of the Jail Drug Clearing Program for a Drug-Free Controlled Facility, Sablayan Municipal Jail successfully conducted a Joint Greyhound Operation in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA MIMAROPA Regional Office) and the Philippine Coast Guard K9 Unit.

The operation aimed to prevent the entry and presence of illegal drugs and other prohibited contraband within the facility, reinforcing the commitment of all partner agencies to maintaining a safe, secure, and drug-free correctional environment.

Sablayan Municipal Jail extends its appreciation to the PDEA MIMAROPA Regional Office and the Philippine Coast Guard K9 Unit for their unwavering support, professionalism, and partnership in the successful conduct of this operation.

Together, we remain steadfast in upholding the highest standards of safety, discipline, and public service.

𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

In line with the Jail Drug Clearing Program for a Drug-Free Controlled Facility, Sablayan Municipal Jail personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) successfully underwent drug testing conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA MIMAROPA Regional Office).

Following the drug testing, Sablayan Municipal Jail personnel, PDL and members of the Philippine Coast Guard K9 Unit attended the Drug Awareness Symposium conducted by the PDEA MIMAROPA Regional Office. The symposium highlighted the harmful effects of illegal drugs, emphasized preventive measures, and reinforced the shared commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and drug-free correctional facility.

This collaborative initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of Sablayan Municipal Jail and its partner agencies in supporting the government's campaign against illegal drugs.

Our sincere appreciation goes to the PDEA MIMAROPA Regional Office and the Philippine Coast Guard K9 Unit for their continued support in the successful conduct of this activity.

Nelson Mandela International Day 2026

In observance of Nelson Mandela International Day 2026, Sablayan Municipal Jail reaffirms its commitment to upholding the dignity, health, and well-being of all Persons Deprived of Liberty through programs that support rehabilitation, physical wellness, and positive transformation.

In line with Rule 23 of the United Nations Nelson Mandela Rules, regular outdoor exercise and sports activities are conducted to promote physical fitness, mental wellness, discipline, and teamwork—essential elements in the journey toward meaningful rehabilitation.

As we commemorate this significant occasion, we echo the official Mandela Day message:

“It is still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity.”

In support of the celebration of National Blood Donor Month, personnel of Sablayan Municipal Jail actively participated in the Mobile Blood Donation Activity held at San Sebastian District Hospital, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross.

This meaningful initiative reflects the Bureau's commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare by helping ensure a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in need. Through voluntary blood donation, our personnel demonstrated compassion, solidarity, and a shared responsibility in saving lives.

Sablayan Municipal Jail remains steadfast in supporting programs that promote public health, volunteerism, and community partnership in building a healthier and more resilient nation.

LOOK I In support of the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 with the theme, "Naghahanda at Kumikilos Tungo sa Panatag na Bagong Pilipinas," personnel of Sablayan Municipal Jail actively participated in a Tree Planting Activity held at Barangay Tuban, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

The activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in partnership with the Office of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (OMENRO) and the Community Disaster Volunteers of Sablayan.

This initiative reflects the commitment of Sablayan Municipal Jail to environmental protection, disaster risk reduction, and community resilience through collaborative efforts that promote a safer, greener, and more sustainable future for all.

𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 52𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

In support of the 52nd Nutrition Month Celebration with the theme, “Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!”,Sablayan Municipal Jail successfully conducted its Nutrition Month Kick-Off Program .

The activity commenced with a prayer, the singing of the National Anthem, opening remarks from our Municipal Jail Warden, the Nutrition Month Pledge, and the Signing of Commitment. A meaningful nutrition seminar was also conducted by distinguished resource speakers from the Municipal Health Office of Sablayan, who shared valuable knowledge on proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and the importance of protecting our environment as part of achieving better health for all.

Sablayan Municipal Jail extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Mary Jinky Eugenio-Ani, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer; Ms. Michelle T. Solomon, RND, Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator; and Ms. Pinky B. Jaravata, RND, Nutrition Officer II, for sharing their expertise and making the seminar informative and meaningful.

The celebration was further highlighted by a Zumba session, vegetable planting activity, Nutri-Games, and a boodle fight, promoting teamwork, wellness, and healthy eating among personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

Sablayan Municipal Jail remains committed to supporting programs that promote health, nutrition, and environmental stewardship, in line with the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN), fostering a healthier and more sustainable community.
