SNHSers Win 1st in Division Advocacy Pitch

Two students from Sagada National High School won First Place in the English Advocacy Pitch during the 2026 Division Festival of Talents in English & Filipino held on February 21, 2026, at the Dap-ayan Hall, Schools Division Office of Mountain Province.
The winners were Ngaya Rose B. Alacyang, Grade 10, and Sofia Isabela M. Oria, Grade 12 STEM, who represented the Sagada District.
The Advocacy Pitch is a team competition for Grades 7–12 that focuses on delivering an advocacy speech using verbal and non-verbal communication and ICT tools such as PowerPoint presentations and brochures.
The team was coached by Krystle Joy C. Reyes.
The win qualifies the team to the Regional Festival of Talents, which will be held in Abra.

They are among the 7 i-Sagada campus journalist qualifiers who will join the Regional SPC in Abra on March.

The whole Sagada NHS family shares the grief at the loss of John Martin Bacgalang, alumnus, SHS Class 2023. Adi mailibak nan kinagawis na ay oskila, anak, kabsat, ya kadwa. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Aglolo, you were here for such a short time, but will remain in the hearts of your fellow alumni, your teachers, friends, and family.

The Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA) community mourns the passing of Midshipman Third Class John Martin B Bacgalang due to a self-vehicular accident.

In these difficult times, our prayers and thoughts are with his family.

May you rest in peace, 3CL Bacgalang.

"New to the field, loud in spirit!"

The SNHS Drum & Lyre debuted triumphantly on the sports field IN FULL GEAR after the members joined the parade of the 2026 Mountain Province Provincial Athletic Meet held earlier today.

We take this opportunity to thank our very supportive partners: individuals, establishments, & most especially our dear alumni who responded to our plea of sponsoring our band uniforms. You made our dreams come true! Our appreciation also to the LGU for providing the vehicles used today. May God bless your good hearts.

Sagada NHS gratefully acknowledges the generous and personalized donation of baseball t-shirts (uniforms w/ personalized names) and twelve (12) baseballs from Mr. Andrie Palpal and Mrs. Jasmine C. Palpal. These donations were given to the players of Sagada NHS during the recent Municipal Meet, two players of Saint Mary's School of Sagada Incorporated, and 1 player from Antadao National High School. These players will be representing Sagada District to the Provincial Meet on January 22-25, 2025.

The donors expressed heartfelt hope that more individuals and organizations extend support to the school's athletes to help them further develop their talents and pursue excellence in sports.

School Welcomes New Year with Thanksgiving Fellowship

January 5, 2026 – Sagada National High School officially opened the first day of the new year with a thanksgiving fellowship attended by students, teachers, and staff earlier today at the school’s covered court. The activity was led by Pastor Gary Bagwan from the Free Believers in Christ Fellowship International (FBCFI), marking a meaningful start to the academic year.

During the fellowship, Pastor Bagwan delivered a short inspiring sharing, concentrating on the message of Jeremiah 29:11, emphasizing that God has an amazing plan for every individual. He encouraged the school community to trust in the Lord’s purpose and to continually seek His guidance as they discover and pursue this plan. He further challenged the students to enjoy their student life, reminding them that trials and difficulties are part of their journey. He urged them to lift all their struggles to the Lord, trusting Him in every situation.

The thanksgiving fellowship concluded with a heartfelt prayer for everyone, asking for guidance, strength, and blessings for the school community throughout the year.
