The deployment supports the municipalityโ€™s continuing efforts to monitor and control the movement of vehicles, livestock, and other materials that may pose a risk of transmitting ASF. Personnel assigned at the checkpoint assist in monitoring incoming and outgoing movements and help ensure adherence to established biosecurity measures and disease-prevention protocols.

Through continuous vigilance, active participation, and inter-agency collaboration, Sagรฑay Fire Station remains committed to supporting the municipalityโ€™s disease-prevention initiatives and strengthening local preparedness and response measures against the threat of ASF.

As part of the activity, personnel carried out various cleaning and environmental maintenance activities within and around the station premises, including the removal of scattered debris, clearing of unwanted vegetation, proper disposal of waste, and general cleaning of common areas. These efforts aimed to maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free environment while reinforcing the importance of cleanliness and environmental stewardship.

A brief Electrical Safety Awareness Seminar was also conducted to applicants for Electrical Clearance Certification which aimed to promote awareness and responsible practices in the installation, use, and maintenance of electrical systems.

The activity aimed to promote the presence and readiness of the Bureau of Fire Protection, while providing residents and motorists with essential information on fire prevention measures, emergency preparedness, and proper actions to take in case of fire. Through this initiative, personnel encouraged the community to remain vigilant, practice fire-safe habits, and actively participate in preventing fire incidents and protecting lives and property.
