Today, we celebrate a proud milestone for the Municipality of Vincenzo Sagun through the Rural Health Unit as we take part in the Awarding Ceremony of the “Bida ang Batang Bakunado” Provincial-Wide Contest of the Department of Health🛡️👶🏻💉

Out of 30 entries across Zamboanga del Sur, Vincenzo Sagun has successfully placed Top 5—a testament to our collective commitment to ensuring every child is protected through immunization.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Melquizec and Cathy Joy Apas for their invaluable support to this program and for taking part of this important activity. Our sincere appreciation also goes to all the dedicated health staff of the Vincenzo Sagun Rural Health Unit, under the leadership of Dr. Grace F. The Rural Health Unit of Vincenzo Sagun actively participated in today’s DSWD–4Ps Validation and Registration Activity, reaffirming its role as a committed stakeholder in delivering essential public services 💚💚💚

Health personnel from the RHU were present to provide health certificates, one of the key requirements for the registration and validation of newly enrolled beneficiaries. This initiative ensures that families are guided and supported in meeting the program’s health-related compliance.

This activity highlights the strong collaboration between the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Rural Health Unit, demonstrating effective inter-agency coordination in promoting the welfare and well-being of the community.

Through unified efforts, we continue to bring government services closer to the people—ensuring that no one is left behind.

The first day of the PhilHealth - PHIC YAKAP Registration, Profiling, and Consultation was conducted today in RHU Vincenzo Sagun for the constituents of Barangay Kabatan, marking an important step toward strengthening access to healthcare services for the community.

This initiative aims to ensure that eligible individuals and families are properly registered, accurately profiled, and provided with essential health consultations under the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PHIC) programs. Through this activity, residents were guided on their membership status, benefits, and the importance of availing health services for their overall well-being.

The Municipal Health Office extends its sincere appreciation to the dedicated healthcare personnel and staff who facilitated the smooth implementation of the activity, as well as to the residents of Barangay Kabatan for their active participation and cooperation.

The Municipality of Vincenzo Sagun, through the Rural Health Unit in coordination with the Margosatubig Regional Hospital Blood Bank, successfully conducted the Dugtong Buhay Bloodletting Activity 2026, a meaningful initiative aimed at strengthening our local blood supply and promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation in the community ♥️♥️♥️

This noble undertaking would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication and collective efforts of our health workforce, led by Dr. Grace F. Sabellano and Dr. Jennie Martin Fundal, whose leadership and commitment ensured the smooth and efficient implementation of the activity. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the team from Margosatubig Regional Hospital (MRH) for their invaluable support and collaboration.

Most importantly, we commend and express our heartfelt gratitude to the 100 selfless blood donors who willingly shared a part of themselves to help save lives. Your generosity embodies the true spirit of compassion and bayanihan.

The RHU Vincenzo Sagun stands in full support of the Department of Health (DOH) campaign against va**ng and the illegal sale of to***co products—especially among the youth.

Smoking and va**ng pose serious health risks, including lung and heart diseases, as well as other complications that can lead to early illness and death. These dangers are even more alarming when such products are accessed by minors.

📌 Important Reminders:
• Selling ci******es and v**e products to minors is strictly prohibited
• Selling ci******es per stick is not allowed
• Va**ng is NOT a safe alternative to smoking
• Report establishments that violate these regulations

Also, we strongly encourage parents, teachers, and community members to work together in guiding and protecting our youth from these harmful habits.

💪 Let us unite in building a healthier, safer, and more responsible community for everyone.
