Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Awareness Training

In line with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Tech4ED Program, the LGU Sampaloc, Quezon – Tech4ED Center, under the leadership of Hon. Nicolas Andre T. Devanadera, Municipal Mayor, conducted a Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Awareness Training for the Immersion Students of Manuel S. Enverga Academy Foundation, Inc. on February 6, 2026.

The activity aimed to promote digital literacy and responsible use of information and communications technology, particularly on the provisions of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), proper handling of personal and sensitive information, and basic cybersecurity practices applicable in academic and workplace environments.

This initiative supports the Tech4ED Program’s objectives on inclusive digital transformation, youth empowerment, and the development of a privacy- and security-aware digital workforce, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their work immersion experience.

The LGU Sampaloc, Quezon – Tech4ED Center extends its appreciation to Manuel S. Enverga Academy Foundation, Inc. and the participating students for their active participation and cooperation.

Office sa pamumuno ni Sir Adrian A. Jandusay IT Officer I ay naisagawa ang Cyber Security Seminar sa
ating Sampaloc Tech4ed Center.

Mahalaga ang ganitong seminar sa bawat empleyado ng isang munisipalidad upang malaman nila ang mga dapat
nilang responsibilidad bilang empleyado ng gobyerno pagdating sa mga pribadong mga files at mga datos
na sakop ng opisina na kanilang kinabibilangan. Ang bawat trabaho na nakaatas sa bawat isa ay may kaakibat
palagi ng kamalayan pagdating sa seguridad ng kanilang mga hinawakang files at data.

IN PHOTOS | Nagkaroon ng Technology for Economic Development Seminar na ginanap sa ating Tech4Ed Center.
Ang mga lumahok dito ay kinabibilangan ng mga mag-aaral sa Grade 12 ng Sampaloc National Highschool (SNHS).
Isa ito sa hangarin ng ating butihing Mayor Gelo T. Devanadera. Ang patuloy na magkaroon ng mga programa at aktibidad
na kapakipakinabang para sa mga kabataan dito sa ating bayan.
Sila ay mga immersion students ng ating Local Government Unit. Inilaan nila ang huling araw ng kanilang
Immersion sa pagdalo sa seminar na ito. Ang nagsilbing tagapagsalita sa araw na ito ay si Sir Adrian A. Jandusay
(IT Officer I/ Tech4Ed Center Manager). Ilan sa mga naging paksa dito ay ang Tech4ed Projects, Data Security and Privacy,
at Cybersecurity Awareness.
Sa paksa ukol sa Tech4Ed Project, ay dito tinalakay ang mga proyekto ng isang Tech4Ed Center at kung ano-ano ang mga
function nito. Isa na dito ang pagbibigay ng libreng serbisyo sa paggamit ng computer at internet ng libre sa
Tech4Ed Center at libreng pag tulong sa mga government online transaction.
Isa pa sa mahalagang tinalakay ay ang Data Security and Privacy kung saan tinuruan sila kung paano mapoprotektahan
ang impormasyon mula sa hindi awtorisadong pag-access, paggamit, at pagsisiwalat ng mga ito.
Makakatulong ang mga impormasyon na tinalakay ng tagapagsalita dahil sa panahon ngayon ay malaki na ang nagiging epekto
ng social media sa ating pamumuhay sa larangan ng pag-aaral, pagtatrabaho, pagnenegosyo at iba pa. Kung kaya't
mahalaga na matutunan natin ang tamang pag gamit nito at kung paano magkakaroon ng seguridad ang mga personal
nating impormasyon na inilalagay sa social media.
Ang pinakahuling tinalakay ay ang Cybersecurity Awareness ito ay ang pagbibigay kaalaman at pag-unawa sa mga end user tungkol sa
mga pinakamahuhusay na kagawian sa cybersecurity at ang mga banta sa cyber na kinakaharap ng bawat isa sa mga
network o organisasyon araw-araw. Isa na sa halimbawa nito ay ang pag gamit ng facebook. Halos lahat ng tao ay gumagamit na nito,
kaya nagbigay si Sir Adrian Jandusay ng ilang mahahalagang pamamaraan upang hindi basta-basta ma-hacked ang ating mga
facebook account o page. Kung aware tayo sa mga ganitong bagay hindi tayo basta mapapahamak at maloloko ng
mga taong mapagsamantala.
