The Municipal Agricultural Services Office conducted a Training on Concoction and Organic Fertilizer Production at LGU Integrated Farm and Learning Site, Salvacion, San San Agustin last May 28, 2026. Conducted by our Organic Coordinator Narciso Plaza, head by our Municipal Agriculturist, Genalyn L. Campos RAgr,MSCS. which was participated by 40 people including farmers, para technicians and students.
This is to empowered our farmers and participants with sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices. From natural concoctions to nutrient-rich organic fertilizers, every lesson brings one step closer to healthier crops, better harvests, and a sustainable community.

Earlier today, we came together to celebrate the Farmers’ Field Day on Hybrid Rice Technology Demonstration and the Culmination of Farmers and Fisherfolk Month here in San Agustin, Surigao del Sur.

These two occasions reflect our continued commitment to introduce practical and sustainable agricultural technologies that can help improve productivity and strengthen our farmers’ resilience here in San Agustin. At the same time, they give us the opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to our farmers and fisherfolk, whose dedication and hard work continue to secure our food and sustain our communities, even in the face of challenges and crises.

This meaningful activity was graced by the presence of our Municipal Officials, headed by our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Mayor Nicolas Alameda, CE, MPA, our Sangguniang Bayan Members, our partners from the Davao Oriental Seed Producers Cooperative (DOSEPCO) — Sir Aldelo and Sir Jerwin, our Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture - Caraga, Engr. Ricardo Oñate Jr., our Provincial Agriculturist - Surigao del Sur Esmeraldo Raymundo, RAgr., the Division Manager of National Irrigation Administration Surigao del Sur, Engr. Paul Urbiztondo, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), duly represented by Ma’am Quennie Decipolo, our farmer-cooperator Sir Edwin Banog, our Punong Barangays, Barangay Officials, our Barangay Paratechnicians, and most especially, our hardworking farmers.

🌾✨ Celebrating the hard work, dedication, and unity of our farmers during the Farmers’ Field Day and Harvest Festival!
Today, we honor the people behind every harvest and every grain that nourishes our community.

The Local Government Unit of San Agustin and Davao Oriental Seed Producers Cooperative (DOSEPCO) finally harvested the Hybrid Rice from the Technology Demonstration, at Barangay Buatong, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur. The activity was led by our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Nicolas O. Alameda, CE, MPA, together with SB Committee Chairperson in Agriculture, Hon. Pastor R. Climaco, Jr., Punong Barangays of the Municipality and the Municipal Agricultural Services Office (MASO) headed by Municipal Agriculturist Genalyn L. Campos, RAgr., MSCS. With our guest Speaker, Regional Executive Director DA Caraga, Engr. Ricardo M. Oñate Jr. along with the visitors; Acting Division Manager NIA Surigao Sur Engr Paul P. Urbiztondo, Provincial Agriculturist Esmeraldo S. Raymundo, RAgr.

Through innovation, cooperation, and sustainable farming practices, we continue to empower our local farmers for a brighter and more productive future. 🌱🚜
