📍 CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON THE PROPOSED FISHERIES STUDY

The Sangguniang Bayan of San Agustin, through its Committee on Agriculture, conducted a consultative meeting with representatives of Northeastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) regarding the proposed study on the feasibility of beach seine and bag net fishing within the municipal waters of San Agustin.

The consultation aims to facilitate meaningful dialogue and gather valuable insights from stakeholders in assessing the potential impacts, sustainability, and viability of these fishing practices in the municipality.

Through collaborative discussions and evidence-based consultation, the Sangguniang Bayan continues to promote responsible fisheries management while balancing the livelihood of local fisherfolk with the protection and sustainable use of the municipality’s marine resources. 🌊🐟
