7-DAY TRAINING ON COMMUNITY TOURGUIDING WITH FILIPINO BRAND OF SERVICE EXCELLENCE, GAD, AND CHILDSAFE TOURISM

The Municipality of San Agustin, led by Mayor Nicolas Alameda, CE, MPA, through the Municipal Tourism Office headed by Municipal Tourism Officer Elsa O. Jualo, MPM, in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) CARAGA, is conducting a 7-day Training on Community Tourguiding with Filipino Brand of Service Excellence, Gender and Development (GAD), and ChildSafe Tourism from July 31 to August 6, 2026, at La Entrada Resort and Restaurant.

The training brings together participants from local resorts, boat and jet ski operators, LGU employees, representatives from government agencies, and private individuals. Resource speakers from the Department of Tourism CARAGA are facilitating the sessions and sharing their expertise to strengthen participants' knowledge and skills in community tour guiding, quality service, gender-responsive tourism, and child-safe tourism practices.

The activity aims to enhance the municipality's tourism workforce and promote excellent, responsible, and sustainable tourism services in San Agustin.
