Nakikiisa ang Dibisyon ng Siyudad ng San Carlos sa buong bansa sa paggunita ng Ika-125 Pambansang Araw ng mga Bayani, bilang pagpupugay sa katapangan, sakripisyo, at wagas na pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga bayaning humubog sa ating kasaysayan at nagbigay-inspirasyon sa mga susunod na salinlahi.

Ipinapaalala sa atin ng kanilang mga naiwan na halimbawa na ang kabayanihan ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa malalaking tagumpay ng nakaraan, kundi makikita rin sa araw-araw na paglilingkod, katapatan, malasakit, at dedikasyon sa kapwa Pilipino.

Nawa’y patuloy na magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanilang katapangan sa bawat mag-aaral, g**o, at miyembro ng pamayanan upang itaguyod ang mga pagpapahalagang nagpapatatag sa ating bansa at tumutulong sa paghubog ng mas magandang kinabukasan.

Pagpupugay sa ating mga bayani—sa mga nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa bayan, sa mga patuloy na naglilingkod sa kasalukuyan, at sa mga susunod na henerasyong magpapatuloy ng kanilang dakilang pamana.

SDO San Carlos Teachers Continue Capability-Building on Inclusive Classrooms

Educators of the Schools Division Office of San Carlos City continued their three-day capability-building program on August 29, 2026, focusing on inclusive classroom pedagogy and practices for learners with special educational needs (LSENs).

The second day opened with a message from Ma. Teresa P. Geroso, CESO VI, OIC-Schools Division Superintendent, who shared the stories of Helen Keller and Ludwig van Beethoven as examples of individuals who pursued their potential despite significant barriers.

Geroso recalled how Keller, who was deafblind, learned to communicate through the guidance of her teacher Anne Sullivan. She also shared how Beethoven continued composing music even after losing his hearing.

The stories connected with the day’s discussion on inclusive education: learners may face barriers, but these should not be the basis for limiting what they can learn and achieve.

Following the inspirational message, Hernor M. De Asis, Division SNED Focal discussed pedagogies in the inclusive classroom, highlighting approaches that teachers can use to respond to learners with different abilities and learning needs.

Melanie D. Magnanao then discussed Building Inclusive Classrooms, focusing on classroom practices that promote participation and support for learners with special educational needs.

The afternoon session brought the discussions into actual classroom practice through a teaching demonstration by Chesil S. Escobar, a full-time SNED teacher of the Tandang Sora Elementary School SNED Center.

The demonstration allowed participants to observe how inclusive teaching strategies can be applied during instruction.

Serving as process observers were Rhyea T. Secretaria, Principal of Lagha Elementary School Main, and Maria Lilibeth S. Fuertes, Assistant Principal II of Julio Ledesma National High School.

The second day of the program reinforced a central message for teachers: understanding the learner and providing appropriate support are essential to making inclusion work in the classroom.

The Schools Division of San Carlos City, under the leadership of OIC Schools Division Superintendent, Ma. Teresa P. Geroso, CESO VI, and with the support of OIC Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Heidelyn P. Geromiano, EdD, successfully conducted the ARAL Program Recalibration: Aligning School Operations, Monitoring and Support Systems for SY 2026–2027 on August 26–28, 2026, at 10.9 Restobar.

The three-day activity focused on strengthening the implementation of the ARAL Program through data-informed planning, streamlined school-level operations, enhanced remedial strategies in Reading and Numeracy, and responsive technical assistance and instructional coaching for school tutors.

The Learning Facilitators provided valuable insights, practical strategies, and meaningful guidance that enriched the discussions and helped participants address key operational and instructional concerns in the implementation of the program.

Through collaborative discussions and hands-on workshop sessions, participants were able to develop quality, contextualized, and output-driven plans that will guide the implementation of ARAL interventions for SY 2026–2027.

The activity further emphasized the Division’s commitment to strengthening support systems, improving instructional practices, and ensuring that learners who need additional support receive timely, responsive, and sustained interventions toward meaningful learning recovery and improved learning outcomes.

Let us continue to recalibrate, collaborate, and move forward toward better learning outcomes for every learner.

The spirit of generosity was felt at Nataban Integrated School as EmpireOne CX continued its annual Pencil Drive, generously providing school supplies to the school’s Key Stage 1 learners.

Under the leadership of OIC Schools Division Superintendent Ma. Teresa P. Geroso, CESO VI, the activity was witnessed by key personnel from the Schools Division Office, who joined in celebrating this meaningful partnership and initiative for learners.

In her message, PSDS Ma’am Sheila B. Tabuena expressed her heartfelt appreciation to EmpireOne CX for their kindness and continued commitment to supporting education. She highlighted the value of partnerships that help provide learners with the resources and encouragement they need to learn and grow.

Present during the activity were Mr. Mark Valencia, Site Director; Mr. Anthony Aragon, HR Director; and Ms. Maria Teresa Tabuena, Engagement Specialist, together with the dedicated personnel of EmpireOne CX, who personally shared their generous donation with the school and learners.

More than the school supplies, the activity became a memorable experience for the children. The fun games and activities brought laughter and excitement, filling the school grounds with energy and ending the day with the brightest smiles from our learners.

Heartfelt gratitude to EmpireOne CX for turning the Annual Pencil Drive into a genuine act of generosity and partnership. Your support not only provides much-needed school supplies, but also reminds our learners that their education is valued, and that there are partners who believe in their potential.

A simple pencil may seem small, but in the hands of a learner, it can help write the beginning of something meaningful.

SAN CARLOS CITY SHINES AT THE NOLITC 6TH BATTLE OF BOTS: NORTHERN ROBOTICS HACKATHON AND COMPETITION 2026!

The Schools Division of San Carlos City proudly joined the NOLITC 6th Battle of Bots: Northern Robotics Hackathon and Competition, held on August 21–23, 2026, bringing together young innovators, robotics enthusiasts, and future technology leaders in an exciting celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.

Representing the Division were talented learners from our Secondary and Elementary Schools, who fearlessly took on challenging robotics competitions and demonstrated their skills, determination, teamwork, and ingenuity.

For many of our young participants, the event was more than just a competition—it was an avenue to discover their potential, gain confidence, meet fellow young innovators, and turn their ideas into working solutions. Every challenge became a learning experience, and every attempt became a step toward becoming better innovators and problem-solvers.
