The Municipality of San Enrique, through its dedicated Local Poverty Reduction Action Committee (LPRAC) Members, actively participated in the Magna Carta of the Poor–Local Poverty Reduction Action Plan (MCP-LPRAP) Formulation Workshop held on August 4–6, 2026, at Resorts Negrense, Punta Taytay, Bacolod City.

The three-day workshop served as a vital platform for strengthening local planning and enhancing the capacity of Local Government Units in formulating responsive, inclusive, and evidence-based poverty reduction strategies aligned with the provisions of the Magna Carta of the Poor.

Through active collaboration and meaningful discussions, the LPRAC members reaffirmed their commitment to developing programs and initiatives that address the needs of vulnerable sectors and promote sustainable, inclusive development for the people of San Enrique.

Today, July 30, 2026, LGU San Enrique represented by Municipal Assesor Dr. Jenny Tumbagahan and Engr. Nevia de los Santos engaged with the affected landowners of Purok Kamonsil, Brgy. Guintorilan to discuss and address concerns regarding the area needed for the implementation of the Farm to Market Road under the 2026 SBDP project.

Through constructive conversation and mutual understanding, we continue to work toward solutions that respect the interests of landowners while ensuring the successful delivery of development initiatives that will benefit the community.

A productive meeting was held today, July 27,2026 with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairpersons of the Municipality of San Enrique to discuss preparations for the upcoming Linggo ng Kabataan and to reinforce compliance with the Sangguniang Kabataan Full Disclosure Policy (SKFDP).

The meeting highlighted the importance of meaningful youth participation, proper planning, transparency, and accountability in the implementation of SK programs and activities. Through collaboration and open communication, we continue to support our young leaders in promoting responsible and effective youth governance.

The Municipality of San Enrique successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) today, June 25, 2026, at the Mayor's Conference Room.

The activity gathered key stakeholders, local officials, and partner agencies to discuss updates, assess ongoing programs, and strengthen strategies in maintaining peace, order, and anti-drug initiatives in the community.

Highlights of the meeting included:

INTERFACING WITH LAND OWNERS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2026 SUPPORT TO BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (SBDP)

In preparation for the implementation of the 2026 Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) in Brgy. Bagonawa, San Enrique, Negros Occidental, Dr. Jennifer Tumbagahan, Municipal Assessor and Engr. Nevia de los Santos conducted an interfacing activity with land owners and Punong Barangay Arlu Aplasca to discuss the proposed infrastructure project and ensure proper coordination, transparency, and community participation.

The activity served as a venue to:

✅ Present the proposed SBDP projects
✅ Discuss project locations and right-of-way concerns
✅ Address questions and clarifications from land owners
✅ Strengthen cooperation among stakeholders for smooth project implementation

The Support to Barangay Development Program aims to bring sustainable development and improved public services to communities through priority infrastructure and development interventions.

Feedbacking of the recently conducted on-site visit and active engagement for the proposed 2026 SBDP and GEF projects in the Municipality of San Enrique.

The activity served as a vital platform for meaningful exchange, where detailed assessments were complemented by insightful discussions and constructive recommendations. These valuable inputs will play a crucial role in refining the LGUs' project plans to ensure they are more responsive, sustainable, and attuned to the real needs of our target barangay beneficiaries.

DILG PDMU Engineers conducted an on-site visit with the target barangay beneficiaries of the 2026 SBDP and GEF Projects in the Municipality of San Enrique.

The activity provided an oppurtunity to conduct a proposed project site validation to identify project risks, feasibility, and constructability as well as to validate and review the documentary requirements related to project implementation
to ensure readiness for smooth project ex*****on.

Our sincere appreciation to Mayor Jilson Tubillara for the support extended to the team. Looking forward to the successful rollout of these initiatives for the benefit of the community.
