𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍 | Labor Advisory No. 13, Series of 2026 - Pagbabayad ng Sahod sa ika-31 ng Agosto 2026 (Araw ng mga Bayani) - Regular na Holiday

Sa pagdiriwang ng Araw ng mga Bayani, isang regular na holiday, pinaaalalahanan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang lahat ng mga employer na sumunod sa mga patakaran ng tamang pasahod ngayong araw.

Para sa mga empleyado, tinitiyak nito na sila ay mabibigyan ng tamang kabayaran sa ngayong araw. Sila ay may karapatang tumanggap ng 100% ng kanilang arawang sahod kahit hindi pumasok, basta’t sila ay pumasok o nasa aprubadong leave na may bayad sa araw ng trabaho bago ang holiday. Samantala, ang mga papasok sa araw ng holiday ay may karapatang tumanggap ng 200% ng kanilang regular na arawang sahod.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Labor Advisory No. 13, Series of 2026 - Pay Rules on 31 August 2026 - National Heroes Day - Regular Holiday

In observance of National Heroes Day, a regular holiday, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminds all employers to comply with Holliday pay rules tomorrow.

For employees, this ensures that they are properly compensated during holiday, entitling them to receive 100% of their daily wage even if they do not report for work, provided they are present or on approved leave with pay on the workday immediately preceding the holiday. Those who report to work on holiday are entitled to 200% of their regular daily wage.

𝑵𝑺𝑹𝑷, 𝑳𝑴𝑰 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒚𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝑰𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒔 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒆

In line with the directives of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1 through its Ilocos Norte Field Office conducted an assessment of the National Skills Registration Program (NSRP) and Labor Market Information (LMI) on August 25, 2026 at Amici Resort Hotel, Laoag
City.

The assessment reviewed provincial labor market data, best practices, and challenges to improve the collection, analysis, and dissemination of timely and accurate LMI.

DOLE Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga emphasized that strengthened LMI will support more responsive employment services and better-informed labor market interventions.

The activity also presented the Career Development Support Program (CDSP) Five-Point Agenda, which aims to strengthen career development services through expanded networks and capacitated service providers in PESOs and JPOs.

These initiatives will help DOLE better match jobseekers with employment opportunities and ensure that employment programs respond to actual local labor market needs.

Nakuha ng Pilipinas, sa pamumuno ni DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, ang suporta ng ASEAN Labour Ministers para sa apat na mahahalagang kasunduan na nagsusulong ng proteksyon at karapatan ng mga manggagawa sa rehiyon. Ang mga dokumentong ito ay nakatutok sa labor market resilience, patas na recruitment, at kaligtasan ng mga manggagawa sa informal at fishing sectors.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay patunay sa pagsisikap ng pamahalaan sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na palakasin ang mga pamantayan sa paggawa at protektahan ang bawat manggagawang Pilipino at ASEAN.

The latest Regional LMI Weekly is now available!

Based on PEIS and PhilJobNet data reported by San Fernando City, La Union; Ilocos Norte Provincial PESO; Bantay, Ilocos Sur; and Calasiao, Pangasinan for August 21–27, 2026, Service Crew recorded the highest number of reported vacancies, with 216 vacancies. Meanwhile, San Fernando City, La Union posted the highest number of reported vacancies among the reporting locations, with 323 vacancies.

Jobseekers are encouraged to explore available opportunities through PhilJobNet.gov.ph or coordinate with the nearest Public Employment Service Office (PESO) for more information on vacancies in their area.

In support of the directive of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to strengthen employment facilitation and expand access to opportunities for workers and jobseekers, the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1, expressed its support for the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s (TESDA) World Café of Opportunities (WCO) held on August 27, 2026 at SM City La Union, San Fernando City, La Union.

DOLE Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga together with DOLE La Union Field Office Caretaker Bernadette May Mamitag attended the activity. During the opening program, RD Baga emphasized in her message, “Sa pamamagitan po ng partnership na ito, nasisiguro nating mapalawak ang access ng ating kababayan sa skills training, employment opportunities at higit sa lahat sa disente at produktibong trabaho. Sana sa araw na ito makahanap agad ng trabaho ang mga TESDA graduates dito.”

Similar to a job fair, the WCO provided a venue for jobseekers to explore employment opportunities and connect with government agencies and partner organizations. Beyond job matching, however, the activity also offered access to skills training, career guidance, employment information, networking, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
