𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻! 💻

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒏 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 (𝑵𝑪𝑰𝑷) 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 1 recently conducted a successful Orientation and Demonstration on the Travel Order System, also known as IPass. The activity was facilitated by the ICT Team of NCIP Regional Office 1 through the guidance of the TMSD Chief.

This innovative system is designed to streamline the internal processes, making the submission, approval, and tracking of official travel orders faster, more efficient, and completely paperless. By transitioning to IPass, NCIP Region 1 reinforces its commitment to modern governance—ensuring that our field operations and services to Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) are supported by swift and seamless administrative workflows.

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐘 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐄𝐒, 𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐖𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍–𝐋𝐀 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑

Despite the heavy rains, the spirit of service remained unwavering as NCIP Region 1, together with its dedicated partners, successfully launched 𝐏𝐃𝐀–𝐋𝐔: 𝐍𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐛𝐨 in Brgy. Namaltugan, Sudipen, La Union. Even under the downpour, our Indigenous Cultural Community were warmly served through free dental services, including dental check-ups, beneficiary profiling, and Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) for children. The activity also provided free oral hygiene kits, oral health lectures, clothing donations, and other meaningful giveaways to our beneficiaries. More than providing services for a single day, Ngiting Katutubo aims to build a continuing partnership that responds to the long-term oral health needs of Indigenous communities.

To strengthen this commitment, 𝑵𝑪𝑰𝑷 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝟏, 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑫𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏–𝑳𝒂 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 (𝑷𝑫𝑨–𝑳𝑼), 𝑰𝒍𝒐𝒄𝒐𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 (𝑰𝑻𝑹𝑴𝑪), 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝑴𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆 (𝑴𝑯𝑶) formally signed a Joint Commitment of Support. Key signatories are:

𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗣𝗠𝗥 Hon. 𝗝𝗼𝘆𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗮𝗻 visited the NCIP Region 1 Office on August 27, 2026 to update the Commission on the office building request and coordinate plans for the October IP Month celebration.

Key developments discussed:

𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗣 𝗥𝟭 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 – The MOA and contract are now ready for signing for the temporary use of a portion of the Provincial Government of La Union's Multi-Purpose Building in Sevilla, San Fernando, La Union, pending the renovation of the NCIP Office Building at Government Center II.

𝗜𝗣 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – Plans and activities for the Provincial and Regional IP Month Celebrations were discussed to ensure a meaningful observance of indigenous cultural heritage and traditions.

The meeting was attended by the TMSD Chief and other NCIP R1 staff, reflecting the Commission's commitment to collaborative planning and transparent governance.

NCIP R1 extends its deepest gratitude to 𝗜𝗣𝗠𝗥 𝗔𝗯𝘂𝗮𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗖. 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗮, whose unwavering support and care for the Indigenous Peoples made this milestone possible. His leadership reflects a true partnership built on respect and shared commitment to the IP communities.

We look forward to the successful realization of the building project and a fitting tribute to the rich cultures of our Indigenous Peoples this October.
