LLANERA, Nueva Ecija โ The construction of the Villa Bar Primary Multipurpose Cooperative (PMPC) Rice Processing Facility has reached 50.86 percent completion as of July 10, 2026, following a joint inspection by the Department of Agriculture โ Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Central Luzon Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO 3) and North Luzon Project Support Office (PSO).
Contracted by R.M. Domingo Construction, the ongoing works on the 584-square-meter facility include concrete hollow block (CHB) laying, formwork assembly, concreting activities, and the installation of a three-phase electrical line with a 3-50 kVA transformer. These accomplishments were validated by the DA-PRDP inspection team to verify construction progress and serve as the basis for the contractor's billing.
The Php26-million processing facility is a major component of the cooperative's Php65-million aromatic rice common service facility and marketing enterprise subproject, which seeks to enhance the value chain of Llanera's aromatic rice through improved post-harvest processing, product quality, and market access.
Targeted for completion in September 2026, the facility is expected to be able to process 12 tons of rice per day, strengthening the cooperative's capacity to deliver efficient processing services while reducing post-harvest losses and increasing the competitiveness of locally produced aromatic rice.
Once operational, the enterprise will directly benefit 40 aromatic rice farmers and 42 regular rice farmers, providing them with better processing facilities, improved marketing opportunities, and increased income potential.
