Abuela’s Mushroom Farm

🍄 From Mushroom Farm to a Growing Food Enterprise! 🇵🇭

Owned by Marco Dandin S. Lintag, a 35-year-old entrepreneur from Porac, Pampanga, Abuela’s Food Products is a local food enterprise specializing in oyster mushroom-based products such as mushroom chips and mushroom chili garlic paste. Established in 2018 as Abuela’s Mushroom Farm, the business began with mushroom cultivation and has since grown into a line of value-added products inspired by Filipino and Kapampangan flavors.

Hands-on in managing the business, Marco is committed to continuous learning, improving his processes, and growing his brand through mentorship and new opportunities. Abuela’s Food Products takes pride in using quality ingredients, delivering authentic flavors, and preserving local culinary heritage while adapting to modern consumer preferences.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has supported the business through the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) Program, entrepreneurship training, business guidance, and product development assistance. Through mentorship and participation in DTI trade fairs and promotional activities, Abuela’s Food Products has strengthened its business direction, gained market exposure, and reached more customers.

Today, Abuela’s Food Products continues to grow with a commitment to quality, innovation, and proudly local flavors. With Marco’s determination and DTI’s continued support, the business looks forward to reaching more Filipino consumers while contributing to the local economy and promoting Pampanga’s rich culinary heritage. 🍄💚

LPCC City of San Fernando Convenes with DTI Pampanga Amid City-Wide Flooding

August 26, 2026 — Amid the flooding caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and recent typhoons, the Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) of the City of San Fernando convened to assess the prevailing prices and supply situation of basic necessities and prime commodities across the city.

The meeting was held at the City Administrator’s Office, Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, with members of the council in attendance. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pampanga was represented by Division Chief Mr. Patrick Mendoza and Trade and Industry Development Specialist (TIDS) Mr. Ronan Rosete.

During the discussion, it was reported that prices of basic goods in groceries and supermarkets remained stable and within the prescribed frozen prices. However, some price fluctuations were noted among agricultural commodities, particularly vegetables, meat, and fish, as reported by Market Supervisor Mr. Gerald Pangan.

The council also discussed relevant provisions of the Price Act and their application in relation to the declaration of a state of calamity. As part of its continuing efforts to protect consumers and ensure the availability of essential goods, the council agreed to conduct price monitoring in supermarkets the following week.

The monitoring activity aims to further assess the prices and availability of basic necessities and prime commodities and ensure that consumers in the City of San Fernando continue to have access to essential goods amid the prevailing weather-related challenges.
