The activity was facilitated by representatives from the Bureau of Fire Protection, SFO2 Jonathan C. Domingo and FO3 Lee Nathaniel M. Diaz, who provided valuable discussions on fire safety protocols, prevention measures, and proper emergency response during fire incidents. Participants also took part in an actual fire drill, applying key learnings on evacuation procedures, proper use of fire safety equipment, and coordinated response during emergencies. The interactive session strengthened awareness and readiness in handling fire-related situations.

The program concluded with the closing remarks of Dir Paderes, who emphasized the importance of continuous training and strong inter-agency collaboration in ensuring a safe and secure working environment. Certificates of appreciation were likewise awarded to the resource speakers in recognition of their valuable contribution. Overall, the activity enhanced the preparedness, awareness, and responsiveness of all personnel in emergency situations.

PDEA Ilocos Sur - Today, April 21, 2026, at around 10:30 in the morning, IA V Rechie Q Camacho, Provincial Officer, together with IA III Rafael Balbin, Assistant Provincial Officer, paid a courtesy call to Hon. Leah Agripina G. Ramirez-Florendo, Executive Judge, Regional Trial Court, Vigan City, at RTC Branch 7, Family Court, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.

The meeting underscored PDEA's commitment to fostering partnership with key stakeholders, including the judiciary in support of the governmentโ€™s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

Discussed during the meeting were the Provincial Drug Situation, the Drug Cases filed by PNP & PDEA within the province; and the proper handling of drug cases and strict adherence to procedural technicalities to maintain the integrity of evidence.

Both parties also reaffirmed their commitment to work hand in hand in ensuring that cases filed are well-prepared and supported with sufficient evidence, further strengthening the enforcement of drug laws and contributing to the maintenance of peace and order in Ilocos Sur.

PDEA Ilocos Sur - Today, April 21, 2026, at around 04:00 in the morning, personnel from PDEA Ilocos Sur Provincial Office led by PECI Officer together with Assistant PECI Officer under the supervision of Provincial Officer IA V Rechie Camacho, conducted Drug Abuse Prevention Education (DAPE) activity for both personnel and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in BJMP facilities of Tagudin, Candon City, Vigan City, as well as Ilocos Sur Provincial Jail Bantay.

The session aimed to raise awareness on the ill effects of illegal drugs, promote a culture of prevention, and strengthen the role of jail personnel in supporting rehabilitation and reintegration efforts among PDLs.

Topics discussed included the dangers of substance, Salient provisions of RA 9165 and the importance of maintaining a drug-free environment within jail facilities.

Furthermore, PDEA SIU I headed by IA I Nickson Acosta, conducted greyhound operation in the same facilities. This operation aimed to ensure that the premises remain free from illegal drugs and contraband, reinforcing internal security measures and supporting the governmentโ€™s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

This Office, headed by ๐ƒ๐ˆ๐‘ ๐‰๐”๐‹๐ˆ๐”๐’ ๐Œ ๐๐€๐ƒ๐„๐‘๐„๐’, ๐‘๐„๐†๐ˆ๐Ž๐๐€๐‹ ๐ƒ๐ˆ๐‘๐„๐‚๐“๐Ž๐‘, recognized the successful completion of the 120-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) of criminology interns from the Northern Philippines College for Maritime Science and Technology (NPCMST) during a culminating ceremony held on April 20, 2026, at Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The ceremony was conducted in line with the regular Monday Flag Ceremony and was attended by PDEA-RO1 officials and personnel.

One of the highlights of the activity was the message delivered by Ms. Lydel Jam G. Baga, one of the interns, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In her message, she shared her experiences and learnings during her stay at this Office, emphasizing the values of discipline, integrity, and commitment in the field of public service.

Certificates were awarded to the interns in recognition of their dedication, perseverance, and successful completion of their training. In his message, Director Paderes commended the interns for their diligence and underscored the importance of professionalism and accountability in public service. He further encouraged them to carry forward the knowledge and values they have gained as they prepare to enter the field of law enforcement.

This Office remains committed to supporting academic institutions in developing future law enforcement professionals through meaningful training opportunities that instill discipline, responsibility, and service to the nation.

April 16, 2026 - Atty. Marvin O. Tavares, Chief Administrative Officer, together with the Regional Barangay Drug Clearing Program Team (RBDCPT) headed by IA I Mary Jean B. Botes, Regional Team Leader, and the PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Office led by IO II Ledjela Badilla, Provincial Barangay Drug Clearing Officer, conducted a series of activities in Pozorrubio, Pangasinan in support of the implementation of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) and the Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP).

The team conducted a rigorous validation of the Programs for Sustainability of Drug-Cleared Barangays covering the municipalityโ€™s twenty-six (26) drug-cleared barangays. During the activity, recommendations and appropriate interventions were discussed to further strengthen and sustain the municipalityโ€™s anti-illegal drug initiatives, in line with the provisions of Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 4, Series of 2021. This validation underscored the municipalityโ€™s commitment to maintaining its drug-cleared status and advancing its vision of a safer, more resilient, and drug-free community.

Likewise, the RBDCPT conducted an orientation and workshop for the remaining drug-affected barangays at the Municipal Hall of Pozorrubio. The activity aimed to enhance the capacity of barangay officials in complying with the requirements for drug-cleared barangay status. Discussions focused on procedures, documentary requirements, and validation processes pursuant to existing guidelines of the DDB and the BDCP. Emphasis was also placed on the sustained implementation of anti-drug initiatives, the functionality of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADAC), and the conduct of interventions at the barangay level. During the workshop session, barangay officials were guided through the step-by-step preparation of required reports and supporting documents, including updates on community-based drug prevention programs, rehabilitation and referral mechanisms, advocacy activities, and coordination with partner agencies. The activity also served as a venue for clarifying technical concerns raised by participating barangay representatives.

On the same day, Atty. Marvin O. Tavares conducted an orientation on the Drug-Free Workplace Program (DFWP) for LGU employees of Pozorrubio, Pangasinan. The orientation highlighted the implementation of the program pursuant to DDB Regulation No. 13, Series of 2018, emphasizing the institutionalization of workplace drug policies to ensure a safe, healthy, and drug-free working environment. The activity strengthened awareness and reinforced the commitment of LGU employees to support drug demand reduction initiatives in the workplace.

Overall, the series of activities reflected the continued collaboration between PDEA and the Local Government Unit of Pozorrubio in strengthening anti-drug efforts at both the barangay and institutional levels.

PDEA Ilocos Sur - Today, April 16, 2026, at around 2:30 in the afternoon, IO I Lynn Mati, PBO; and IO I Wennie Fiaroque, Assistant PBO, under the supervision of IA V RECHIE Q CAMACHO, Provincial Officer, conducted Lecture/Orientation on the contents of the Barangay Drug Clearing Folder to Barangays San Gaspar and Poblacion Sur held at the Barangay Covered Court of Barangay San Gaspar, Salcedo, Ilocos Sur.

The activity aimed to guide the barangays in their application for drug-cleared status wherein the team explained the requirements and procedures for barangay drug clearing, focusing on the necessary documents and actions needed for the application. The barangay officials actively participated, clarifying doubts and ensuring compliance.

The activity was spearheaded by the Officer-in -Charge of Salcedo MPS, PCPT Floro DR Cosning Jr. together with PSSG Mc Romar G. Dulay, MPSMU PNCO, Focal person for Barangay Drug Clearing Program and other Salcedo MPS personnel.

PDEA Pangasinan - Today, April 16, 2025 at around 12:30PM, under the supervision of IA V Dexter B. Asayco, Provincial Officer, personnel of PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Office conducted Drug Abuse Preventive Education lecture to Barangay Imbalbalatong Pozorrubio, Pangasinan.

The activity was participated by Barangay Officials headed by Hon. Gerwin Eizer N. Nimer, BADAC Chairman; barangay secretary; SK chairman; BPOC; Women and Family organizations; BHW; 4Ps and BPATs of the said barangay.

The PECI Offficer discussed the Drug Identification & Classification and Effects of Dangerous Drugs to raise awareness and promote a drug free lifestyle.
