IN PHOTOS | NLNC CELEBRATES MEN’S HEALTH MONTH, RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING PERSONNEL AND UNITS IN AWARDING CEREMONY
On June 1, 2026, the Northern Luzon Naval Command (NLNC) participated in the simultaneous Flag Raising ceremony in celebration of Men’s Health Month, at Headquarters NLNC, Naval Station Ernesto Ogbinar, Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union. The observance highlighted the importance of prioritizing health and wellness among military personnel, recognizing that being physically and mentally fit remains essential in maintaining mission readiness and operational effectiveness.
During the ceremony, NLNC conducted an awarding ceremony recognizing personnel and Operational and Tactical Control units for their exemplary service, operational excellence, and significant contributions to various military operations, exercises, and community engagements. Among the awardees were BRP Waray (LC820), BRP Figuracion (PC389), 4th Marine Brigade (4MBde), and Marine Battalion Landing Team - 10 (MBLT-10), for their meritorious and valuable achievements during the Philippine Navy Civil - Military Operations from the Sea in support of the 128th Philippine Navy Anniversary celebration at Camiguin Island, Calayan, Cagayan on May 13, 2026. Military Merit Medals were likewise awarded to personnel who served as members of the Exercise Management Group during Exercise BALIKATAN 41-26 conducted within the Joint Operational Area from April 20 to May 08, 2026, as well as to Officers and Enlisted Personnel of NLNC and OPCON/TACON units for their exemplary performance during the 1st and 2nd Quarter Pre-Deployment Training CY2026 conducted across strategic areas in Northern Luzon.
The ceremony also recognized personnel who contributed to the successful conduct of the 2nd Quarter Command Post Exercise (CPX) and Field Training Exercise (FTX) dubbed as “Fleet-Marine Unilateral Exercise 2.0” held from May 18 to 22, 2026, as well as recipients of the Military Civic Action Medal for socio-civic engagements during the Viva Vigan Binatbatan Festival of the Arts in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur on May 8, 2026. The ceremony likewise featured the formal turnover of Philippine Navy GO Bags to OPCON/TACON units, further strengthening operational preparedness and enhancing the Command’s capability to respond effectively to missions and contingencies across Northern Luzon. The series of activities highlights NLNC’s steadfast dedication to promoting a resilient, mission-ready force which aim to strengthen our commitment to excellence in service, personnel development, and the effective fulfillment of our mandate in safeguarding the Filipino people and the nation’s maritime interests.
