๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: On 1 June 2026, the Coast Guard District North Western Luzon (CGDNWLZN), together with its Coast Guard Stations, Sub-Stations, Operational Control Units and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program. This yearโ€™s program carries the theme, โ€œBayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,โ€ which highlights the spirit of unity, volunteerism, and collective responsibility in preparing schools for the opening of classes.

As part of the nationwide initiative, CGDNWLZN personnel joined various school maintenance and improvement activities, including campus clean-up, repair and rehabilitation of school facilities, and other community-driven efforts aimed at providing learners with a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment. The participation of the Philippine Coast Guard underscores its commitment to supporting the Department of Educationโ€™s programs and strengthening partnerships with local communities in promoting quality education and public service.

Through this activity, CGDNWLZN reaffirms its dedication to nation-building by fostering cooperation among government agencies, stakeholders, and volunteers in ensuring the readiness of educational institutions for the incoming school year.

LOOK: While Tropical Storm "Domeng" remains under close monitoring, the Coast Guard Station Ilocos Sur together with its Sub-Stations and Coast Guard Mobile Team (CGMT) implements its preparedness measures to mitigate the possible effects of the weather disturbance on coastal communities and maritime operations within its Area of Responsibility.
Coast Guard assets and equipment, including response vehicles, communication equipment and rescue gears are being prepared and strategically positioned to ensure the timely conduct of response operations in the event of maritime or coastal emergencies.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: In preparation for the anticipated effects of Tropical Depression โ€œDOMENG,โ€ Coast Guard Station La Union, together with its Sub-Stations and Clearing Outposts (COPs), conducted a static display and readiness inspection of rescue assets and emergency response equipment to ensure operational preparedness.
This initiative enhances the readiness of all units and personnel for the immediate response to any maritime or coastal emergencies that may arise as a result of the prevailing weather disturbance.
With all response teams on standby, CGS La Union remains committed to providing prompt and effective assistance to affected communities while maintaining close coordination with local government units, disaster response agencies, and other stakeholders to safeguard lives, protect property, and preserve the marine environment.

This activity highlights the readiness and capability of the Philippine Coast Guard in disaster response, rescue operations, and humanitarian assistance. The displays showcase essential rescue gear, communication equipment, and watercraft used in search and rescue operations.

๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž: Today, 30 May 2026, the Coast Guard District North Western Luzon (CGDNWLZN) together with CGSS Narvacan, CGSS San Esteban, CGSS Sta. Maria with the active support of CGAD-NWLZN, 701st, 702nd, and 704th Auxiliary Squadron, as well as the Local Government Unit of Narvacan, RHU of Narvacan, and the LGU of Brgy. Sulvec conducted a Medical, and Veterinary Mission at the Municipal Covered Court, Brgy Sta. Lucia, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.

A total of one hundred sixty six (166) indigent individuals were given free medical check up and medicines, forty five (45) dogs and cats were vaccinated and provided vitamins.

Through these efforts, the Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary reaffirm their commitment to serve not only in safeguarding our waters but also in uplifting the lives of the communities they protect.

The event was attended by CDR ALEXANDER P CORPUZ PCG Chief of Staff, CGDNWLZN and LTJG JEPTY E UBALDO PCG Station Commander CGSLU, who joined the said activity in support of maritime safety, operational readiness, and the continuous strengthening of maritime service.
