CPD REGIONAL STAFF GEAR UP FOR AGILE PUBLIC SERVICE

Today, August 28, 2026, the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) – Region I wrapped up a highly productive Staff Development Session cm Orientation on Completed Staff Work held at Probinsyano Restaurant Catering and Event Services, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The event was designed to strengthen the technical capabilities of the CPD-I team, focusing on evidence-based policy briefs, action memoranda, and standard procedural workflows.

Mr. Jimeff O. Bernardo, Chief HR Specialist of the Civil Service Commission-Region I, delivered an in-depth learning session on Completed Staff Work, followed by a series of workshops and an open forum where staff addressed various issues and concerns.

With this capacity-building initiative, CPD-I reaffirms its commitment to efficient decision-making and a future-ready public workforce.

The Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Central Office conducted a Training on Strategic Work Planning, Budgeting, and Performance Management for FY 2027–2029 for CPD Region I on August 24-27, 2026, at the Puerto de San Juan Resort Hotel, San Juan, La Union.

This initiative optimized the agency's core systems in planning, budgeting, and performance management to maintain results-oriented alignment with CPD's strategic goals. In addition, the training enhanced the capacity of the regional staff to translate high-level strategies into actionable plans and measurable outcomes for population and development initiatives.
