The Employeesβ Compensation Commission (ECC) actively participated in the meeting of the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Coordinating Council 1 (DOLE RCC-1) on September 2, 2026, at the DOLE Regional Office 1 Conference Room in San Fernando City, La Union, as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen inter-agency convergence and deliver more responsive labor and employment services in the region.
Presided over by DOLE Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga, Chairperson of DOLE RCC-1, the meeting brought together representatives from the Councilβs member-agencies to identify areas for stronger collaboration, complement existing programs and services, and improve coordination in addressing the needs of workers and enterprises.
As a member of the RCC-1, the ECC shared in the discussions on strengthening convergence among government agencies, particularly in maximizing available resources, expertise, and referral mechanisms to ensure that workers and stakeholders are provided with timely and appropriate assistance.
The convergence also provided an opportunity for the ECC and other member-agencies to explore collaborative initiatives that can further promote awareness of and access to labor and employment programs and services, including the Employeesβ Compensation Program (ECP) and other interventions within their respective mandates.
