On October 15, 2026, Ms. Ma. Nissa Montecillo, Project Manager of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), paid a courtesy visit to GSIS La Union in preparation for the upcoming onsite Citizen Satisfaction Survey (CITSAT).

She was warmly welcomed by Mr. Joven D. Parayno, Officer I of the Billing, Collection and Reconciliation Division (BCRD), who accompanied her around the office and discussed the requirements and arrangements for the survey.

The CITSAT is a mechanism used to gather feedback from an agency members and stakeholders regarding the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of services delivered. The survey aims to measure client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and support the agency's commitment to continuously enhancing public service delivery. The visit served as part of the preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the onsite survey and facilitate coordination between DAP and GSIS La Union.

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) warns the public regarding advertisements of Avass Corp that use GSIS materials and/or the GSIS Ginhawa for Solar Energy Loan (GSEL) artcard in promoting its products and services.

Avass Corp is not affiliated with, accredited, endorsed, or authorized by the GSIS. The use of GSIS materials in its advertisements should not be construed as an endorsement, partnership, accreditation, or any other form of official association with GSIS.

GSIS advises its members and pensioners to exercise caution and to rely only on information released through official GSIS communication channels.

GSIS has directed the company concerned to immediately cease the unauthorized use of GSIS materials and take down the advertisement.

We remind our members and pensioners to verify any information involving GSIS programs, products, or services through official GSIS channels before entering into any transaction with third-party providers. GSIS remains committed to protecting its members and pensioners from misleading or unauthorized representations.

On October 7, 2026, GSIS La Union conducted an On-Site Training on the Online Filing and Approval of Life and Retirement Claims for the DepEd Division of La Union, the biggest DepEd Division Office under its jurisdiction.

The activity was welcomed and supported by Schools Division Superintendent Jorge M. Reinante and Ma’am Dominga N. Lim, Administrative Officer V, with administrative officers and staff in attendance.

Through the enhanced GSIS Touch mobile application, members can conveniently file their Life and Retirement Claims online, promoting faster, paperless, and more convenient transactions.

On October 2, 2026, GSIS La Union conducted a New Employees' Orientation to welcome and educate new members about the programs, benefits, and services offered by the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).

The orientation provided participants with valuable information on membership privileges, social insurance benefits, loans, claims, and other related services. It also served as a venue to familiarize members with GSIS policies, procedures, and digital platforms to help them maximize their membership and access available benefits with ease. An open forum was held to address members' questions and concerns, promoting a better understanding of their rights, responsibilities, and entitlements as GSIS members.

Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 136, s. 2026, suspendido ang trabaho sa mga ahensya at instrumentalities ng National Government, kabilang ang GOCCs at state universities and colleges, sa September 28, 2026, simula 1:00 PM.

Magpapatuloy naman ang operasyon ng mga ahensyang nagbibigay ng basic at health services, disaster preparedness and response, at iba pang mahahalagang serbisyo.

Ang hakbang ay bahagi ng paggunita sa 34th National Family Week at Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day 2026.

On September 4, 2026, GSIS La Union, represented by Ms. Angelica Gatchallan, Staff Officer II of the Billing and Collection Unit, served as a keynote speaker for the newly hired and promoted employees of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 1.

During the orientation, Ms. Gatchallan discussed the various benefits and programs available to GSIS members, including social insurance benefits, loan privileges, retirement options, and other related services. Through the discussion, the participants gained valuable insights into the importance of understanding and managing their GSIS benefits. The activity also provided them with a better appreciation of their rights and privileges as government employees, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their financial security and future retirement plans.

Furthermore, the session reaffirmed GSIS' commitment to promoting financial literacy and ensuring that members are well-informed about the services and benefits available to them throughout their government service.
