In partnership with the Municipality of Subic, Zambales, the Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) Training took place from October 28 to 30, 2025, at the Subic Sports Complex Conference Hall in Wawandue, Subic, Zambales.

The three-day program served as a platform for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Subic to strengthen its capacity in hazard mapping and risk profiling, as well as to enhance its technical knowledge of climate and disaster risk concepts.

Through this training, the Municipality of Subic reaffirmed its strong commitment and proactive approach toward building communities that are safer, more adaptive, and resilient in the face of natural hazards and the growing impacts of climate change

The Enhanced Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA) Training, conducted in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region 3, was successfully held at the Seorabeol Grand Leisure Hotel from October 15-17, 2025.

This training brought together representatives from the municipalities and cities of Mayantoc and Gerona, Tarlac; Obando and Meycauayan, Bulacan; Gabaldon and San Jose, Nueva Ecija; and Iba and Palauig, Zambales.
This essential three-day training aimed to strengthens the capacities of local government units by broadening their understanding and enhancing their technical capabilities in evaluating disaster risks, ultimately contributing to stronger and more resilient communities.

The success of the training reflects the unwavering commitment and dedication of the participating LGUs in developing detailed risk assessment plans that will serve as a foundation for building safer and more resilient communities.

This year’s theme cites the importance of urban and territorial planning, inclusive urban governance, and the role of local governments in sustainable solutions for displacement. It is aligned with the DHSUD Plan and Do (PLANADO) Program’s vision of creating greener, smarter and more inclusive human settlements.

Under the leadership of Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, DHSUD supports this call by ensuring that close collaboration with all housing stakeholders, particularly local government units in the formulation of risk-informed Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plans (PDPFPs).

Ang National Housing Authority (NHA) ay magpapatupad ng isang buwang moratorium ngayong Oktubre 2025 para sa lahat ng residential account holders sa Masbate at Cebu, bunsod ng pinsalang dulot ng mga nagdaang bagyo at 6.7 magnitude na lindol.

Sa panahong ito, suspendido ang pagbabayad ng amortisasyon at walang karagdagang multa o interes na ipapataw.

Ang pansamantalang moratorium ay pagbibigay-daan sa kanila ng ahensya na makabangon muli mula sa pinsalang dulot ng naturang mga kalamidad.

Muling ipagpapatuloy ang regular na paniningil ng amortisasyon sa ika-1 ng Nobyembre 2025.
