Layong maibsan ang malaking epektong dulot ng patuloy na pagtaas ng langis sa pandaigdigang merkado, tinanggap ng 738 tsuper sa Pampanga ang kanilang sahod sa ilalim ng TUPAD Tuloy Pasada ng DOLE noong ika-3 ng Agosto sa siyudad ng Angeles.

Ang inisyatibong ito ay kaugnay din ng direktiba ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos Jr. na magbigay ng agarang tulong pinansyal sa mga apektadong indibidwal lalung-lalo na sa mga nasa sektor ng transportasyon.

Ang mga naturang tusper ay nagmula sa mga siyudad ng San Fernando at Angeles na may rutang San Fernando-Angeles, Angeles-San Fernando, at sa loob lamang ng siyudad ng Angeles.

Sila ay nagtrabaho nang 31 araw sa pagitan ng ika-18 ng Mayo hanggang ika-23 ng Hunyo na may kabuuang sahod na aabot sa P18,600 bawat isa.

Ang isinagawang trabaho ay ang normal na pamamasada sa mga rutang nakatalaga sa ilalim ng kanilang prangkisa at ang tulong pinansyal ay karagdagang kita para sa kanila na bukod pa sa kinikita sa pagbiyahe araw-araw.

Samantala, nagpasalamat naman ang mga tsuper sa tulong pinansyal na ipinagkaloob ng DOLE sa ilalim ng TUPAD Tuloy Pasada na malaking maitutulong sa kanilang mga pamilya.

“Malaking tulong po itong sahod namin mula sa TUPAD Tuloy Pasadang DOLE dahil mapapagawa ko po kahit papaano ang bubong ng aming bahay na tumutulo tuwing umuulan.” saad ni Ginoong Dario Nuqui, isa sa mga benepisyaryo ng programa.

Supporting the local Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost productivity and spur employment in the province, DOLE Pampanga received the Simbul Award conferred by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Pampanga yesterday, July 30, during the Pamitipun 2026 at the City of San Fernando.

DOLE Pamanga’s initiative was in line with President Bongbong Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen and to provide support to local MSMEs to generate employment.

In 2025, DOLE Pampanga supported thousands of micro enterprises in the conduct of Technical and Advisory Visit (TAV), provided livelihood packages to some under DILP, and awarded tools and equipment to identified enterprises under the DOLE Adjustment Measures Program (DOLE AMP) that amounted to a total of P2.45M.

The Simbul Award given by DTI Pampanga was to recognize the support and partnership of DOLE Pampanga in advancing the growth and resilience of Pampanga MSMEs through the initiatives in the said programs.

The conferment took place during the culminating activity of the MSMEs for MSME Biz Up, an exclusive learning and digital growth series helping the entrepreneurs, for the month of July organized by DTI Pampanga.

DOLE Pampanga Head May Lynn C. Gozun was present in the activity and received the award from DTI Region III Regional Director Edna D. Dizon, DTI Pampanga OIC Provincial Director Ma. Cristina B. Evangelista, and other officials from SME North Luzon.

Aiming to prevent gender-based sexual harassment and promote mutual respect among all gender identities, Solana Land Inc. partnered with DOLE Pampanga Field Office for a seminar on Anti-Sexual Harassment and Safe Spaces Act yesterday, July 23, at Jardin Solana, Cabalantian, Bacolor, Pampanga.

In line with Sec. Francis N. Tolentino's priority to promote labor education in workplaces, the activity was participated by 40 rank-and-file, technical, and managerial staff of the company.

Senior Labor and Employment Akbar O. Tumale served as the speaker for the seminar and centered his first discussion on the three elements of Republic Act 7877 also known as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995.

Following the initial discussion, Senior LEO Tumale tackled the different remarks like misogynistic, transphobic, sexists, and homophobic, among others, that constitute to gender-based sexual harassment based on Republic Act 11313, the Safe Spaces Act or the Bawal Bastos Law.

Further, Senior LEO Tumale clarified that RA 11313 does not supersede the previous RA7877 but only addresses the gaps especially on who could be the perpetrator and the location where the harassment is committed.

After the discussion on the two laws, the employees were given orientation on the due process needed to undertake when a case of sexual harassment would occur in the workplace and the importance of the existence of the Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI) on Sexual Harassment cases and its composition.

Solana Land Inc. HR Manager Mirella Gale S. Canlas recognized the importance of the seminar provided and commended the presentation of the discussion.

“The topics were presented in a clear, practical, and engaging manner, making them easy to understand and applicable to everyday workplace situations. Overall, the orientation was a valuable learning experience that strengthened our commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and compliant workplace," said Canlas.

The second batch of the seminar is scheduled on July 30 with other employees of Solana Land Inc. on the same venue.

Ensuring the sustainability and viability of the existing database for skills registry as well as to strengthen the capability of the focal persons in providing timely and relevant information about the labor market, PESO Managers and program focals in Pampanga gathered today, July 09, at the Greene Manor Hotel, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The 2026 Provincial Assessment on National Skills Registry program (NSRP) cm Capacity Development Training on Labor Market Information (LMI) aimed to further better services provided to local job seekers in the province.

During the activity, partners from PESO discussed the issues, concerns, and recommendations currently faced in their respective localities in using the PESO Employment Information System (PEIS) under the NSRP.

Along with the discussion, an assessment was also conducted to validate challenges encountered and solutions undertaken during the 2024 implementation of the LMI and NSRP, and capture the insights, issues and concerns of our implementing arm at the grassroot level for the year 2025.

Meanwhile, to better guide job seekers in choosing careers and help them match with the available vacancies, Senior Labor and Employment Officer Engr. Lourdes M. Rivera delivered a discussion on the Introduction to Advanced Labor and Market Information to the participants highlighting the responsibilities of LMI officers and the factors affecting the labor market.

Further, Senior LEO Rivera presented the 2023-2025 PESO Employment Report summarizing PESO accomplishments on the number of solicited vacancies, registered applicants, referred, and those who successfully landed a job.

DOLE Pampanga Officer-In-Charge Senior LEO Fernando C. Mallari IV graced the event and lauded the efforts, participation, and actions of the PESO in addressing unemployment rate in the province and in facilitating employment opportunities for job seekers.

On a weekly basis, DOLE Pampanga, thru its official page, releases the Regional LMI where the Top 20 vacancies on PEIS and PhilJobNet and the Top 10 locations by number of vacancies in the region are posted.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐑 | As part of the ongoing efforts of the Department to support students in their financial needs and in line with the priority of Sec. Francis N. Tolentino to provide employment, 200 students from the City of San Fernando were gathered for the orientation and contract signing as they about to start a 20-day temporary employment under the Special Program for the Employment of Students today, July 09, at the Heroes Hall, CSFP.

The student-beneficiaries will be receiving a daily salary of P639.14 for the 20-day work and will be deployed in various units of the City Government to assist in the day-to-day operations of the LGU.
