The Department of Tourism - Region 1 (DOT-R1) strongly reminds all accredited hotels, resorts, resorts, tour operators, accommodation establishments and tourism-related enterprises across the Ilocos Region to prioritize tourist safety by reinforcing their health, emergency response, and basic medical readiness protocols.
In light of recent medical emergencies reported across the countryโincluding severe, life-threatening allergic reactions and histamine poisoning incidents from food consumptionโit is imperative that our local tourism industry remains vigilant, proactive, and fully equipped to handle health emergencies.

To maintain high standards of visitor safety and premium hospitality, all DOT-accredited establishments are highly encouraged to have at least one (1) certified staff member on duty who possesses active knowledge and training in:

Every accredited establishment must keep an emergency medical kit that is fully stocked, highly visible, and readily accessible at all times. Your first aid inventory should strictly include:
