📢 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬

The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 – 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 advises all tourists, travelers, tourism stakeholders, and the general public to exercise heightened caution when traveling within the Ilocos and Pangasinan Region due to the continuing effects of the 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗼𝗻 (𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁).

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗦𝗔), monsoon rains are expected over parts of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan, with periods of moderate to heavy rainfall. These conditions may result in 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, particularly in low-lying, mountainous, and landslide-prone areas.

📢 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀:
• Avoid coastal and flood-prone areas and stay alert for possible evacuation advisories.
• Stay alert for advisories from local government units and disaster response offices.
• Secure loose outdoor items and stay indoors during strong winds or heavy rain.
• Tourism establishments are encouraged to activate their safety and emergency protocols, monitor guests’ welfare, and provide updated information on weather developments.
• Transact only with DOT-accredited tourism establishments for safe and reliable service.
