This month, we proudly celebrate the 31st Migrant Workers’ Day, a fitting tribute to the hardworking overseas Filipino workers whose dedication, resilience, and sacrifice continue to uplift their families and the nation. As modern-day Bayani, they thrive even in adversity and remain beacons of hope through their resilience and excellence. With the whole-of-nation approach to governance under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., we continue to work together to support the full-cycle reintegration of OFWs, especially those who have returned home temporarily or permanently.

With this year’s theme, “Bayan, Bayani, Bayanihan,” we recognize the powerful connection among our nation, our heroes, and our community. Let us continue to support and empower our migrant workers, ensuring their contributions are valued and their welfare protected.

𝗗𝗠𝗪 𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗕𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗚 “𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗔𝗕𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗” 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗔 𝗦𝗢𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔

Muling nagbabala ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) sa publiko laban sa mga pekeng “work abroad” offers na kumakalat sa social media. Ayon sa DMW, dapat maging maingat ang mga aplikante sa mga recruitment posts na nangangako ng mabilis na pag-alis, mataas na sahod, at madaling proseso kapalit ng malalaking bayarin.

Pinaalalahanan ni Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac ang publiko na hindi sapat na may opisina, social media page, o foreigner na kasama ang isang grupo upang masabing legal itong recruitment agency. Dapat tiyakin ng mga aplikante na may lisensya mula sa DMW ang recruiter, rehistrado ang mga tauhan nito, at working visa, hindi tourist visa, ang ipoprosesong dokumento bago umalis ng bansa.

Pinapayuhan din ng DMW ang publiko na suriin ang mga dokumento, kontrata, at bayarin, at laging humingi ng opisyal na resibo sa bawat transaksyon. Maaaring ireport ang kahina-hinalang recruitment activity sa DMW Anti-Illegal Recruitment at DMW AIRTIP pages, tumawag sa 8722-1144 at 8722-1155, o mag-email sa [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭 𝟒,𝟕𝟎𝟎 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐅𝐖𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐅𝐖𝐬, 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐢 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤

Nakapaghatid ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), katuwang ang iba't ibang ahensiya ng pamahalaan, ng 24,372 services sa 4,061 former overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) at 646 recently repatriated OFWs sa ilalim ng "Bayanihan para sa Balikbayang Manggagawa: National Reintegration Network (NRN) and Job Fair," batay sa datos ngayong May 31, 2026. Umabot na rin sa 13 NRN fairs ang isinagawa sa bansa, habang mayroong 31 agencies naman ang lumahok sa mga ito.

KABUHAYAN (Trabaho) | Isa sa pangunahing layunin ng programa ang tulungan ang mga OFW na makahanap ng trabaho sa bansa:
• 2,142 job facilitation beneficiaries
• 226 local companies at 104 private recruitment agencies/local manning agencies ang lumahok

KABUHAYAN (Livelihood) | Umabot naman sa PHP 9.65 million ang kabuuang financial assistance na naipamahagi ng NRN sa mga benepisyaryong nais magkaroon ng sariling kabuhayan.

KALINGA (Psychosocial/Welfare) | 680 recently repatriated OFWs ang nakatanggap ng psychosocial at welfare support sa pamamagitan ng Kalinga: Post-Repatriation Orientation Seminars.

KAAGAPAY SA TRABAHO | Ayon sa datos, ang mga sumusunod ay bilang ng local job referrals na nai-coordinate ng DMW sa partner agencies:
• 1,305 sa DOLE
• 383 sa DOH
• 18 sa DepEd
• 656 sa DOT
• 151 sa DPWH

KAAGAPAY SA KAALAMAN | Batay rin sa datos ngayong araw, mayroong 837 training vouchers at scholarships ang naipamahagi at umabot ng 1,605 domestic workers ang na-profile at na-endorse para sa skills training sa pakikipagtulungan sa TESDA.

Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., patuloy na isinasagawa ng DMW, kasama ang iba't ibang ahensiya bahagi ng NRN, ang komprehensibong pagsuporta sa trabaho, kabuhayan, at kapakanan ng ating mga kababayang OFW na nais manatili at magsimula muli sa Pilipinas.

𝐃𝐌𝐖 𝐑𝐎 𝐈 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐠, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧

The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office I (DMW RO I), through its Dagupan Satellite Office, facilitated and supervised the conduct of a Job Fair on May 28, 2026, at Pavilion 1, Saint Vincent Ferrer Prayer Park, Bayambang, Pangasinan.

Participating overseas recruitment agencies, Eyequest International Manpower Services Incorporated and Phil Assist Manpower Corporation, accommodated applicants and provided overseas employment opportunities to jobseekers.

A total of 131 registrants participated in the activity, with qualified applicants endorsed for further interview and assessment.

DMW personnel Maripearl Peralta and Glenn Lester Elefanio assisted in ensuring the smooth coordination and proper supervision of recruitment activities during the event.

𝐃𝐌𝐖 𝐑𝐎 𝐈 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐏 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐔𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲

The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office I (DMW RO I) conducted its AIRTIP Campaign on May 26, 2026, at CB Mall, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan during the Community Education Program on Safe Migration organized by the Pangasinan PESO.

The activity gathered key local stakeholders and community leaders to strengthen awareness and prevention measures against Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Persons (TIP), while empowering participants with knowledge on safe and legal overseas employment.

The program commenced with a welcome address from Provincial PESO Manager Ms. Ma. Richelle M. Raguindin, followed by an inspirational message from Pangasinan Governor Hon. Ramon V. Guico III represented by Ms. Chinky Perez-Tababa.

Deputy Provincial Prosecutor Emmanuel E. Laforteza of the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor Pangasinan discussed strategies and legal measures to prevent Illegal Recruitment and TIP.

Meanwhile, Atty. Angelique P. Ugay of DMW RO I provided a comprehensive discussion on overseas employment processes, legal employment procedures, various modes of overseas employment, and the Department’s AIRTIP Campaign.

The Department of Migrant Workers Regional Office I successfully conducted an Orientation on PNPKI and Cybersecurity Awareness on 28 May 2026 at the DMW RO1 Conference Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The activity was facilitated by Mr. Pedro Ruiz II, Planning Officer I, and Mr. Jay-R Dela Peña, Planning Officer II of the DICT RO1 La Union Provincial Office, who shared valuable insights on digital security, cyber awareness, and the importance of PNPKI in ensuring safe and secure online transactions.

Present during the activity were Assistant Regional Director Romeo A. Jaramilla and CAO Christian Brylle T. Navarro, together with DMW RO1 personnel, in support of strengthening cybersecurity awareness and digital responsibility in the workplace.

𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗱𝗼 𝗘. 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗺𝗮

Ang pamunuan at buong pwersa ng Department of Migrant Workers ay taos-puso na nagpapasalamat kay Secretary Benny Laguesma sa kanyang matatag na pamumuno, karunungan, at malasakit sa mahahalagang unang hakbang ng DMW.

Naging mahalaga ang papel ng DOLE sa maayos at tuloy-tuloy na pag-transition ng DMW sa unang taon nito bilang ganap na ahensya ng pamahalaan. Sa ilalim ng paggabay ni Secretary Benny, naging mas malinaw at mas matatag ang landas tungo sa ganap na operasyon ng DMW para sa ating OFWs at kanilang pamilya.

Higit sa lahat, kinikilala rin namin ang kanyang mahaba at makabuluhang kontribusyon sa larangan ng labor and employment — isang buhay-serbisyo na nakatuon sa pagtataguyod ng karapatan, kapakanan, at dignidad ng bawat manggagawang Pilipino.
