𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Nakipagpulong ang DA-RFO1 sa mga kinatawan ng mga LGU sa sektor ng agrikultura noong nakaraang linggo, upang talakayin ang mas mahusay na implementasyon ng Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) sa Rehiyong Ilocos.

Sa nasabing pulong, tinasa ang kasalukuyang katayuan ng programa. Ayon sa datos ng ahensya, halos 600,000 na magsasaka at mangingisda na ang nakarehistro sa RSBSA sa kasalukuyan.

Dumalo rin ang kinatawan ng iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno at ibinahagi ang kanilang mga programa para sa nasabing sektor.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng DA ang pagpaparehistro sa RSBSA ng mga magsasaka at mangingisda para sa mas organisado at maayos na pagtanggap ng suportang pang-gobyerno. Kabilang dito ang binhi, abono, makinarya, pinansyal na tulong, at disaster relief.

‎Panoorin ang apat na benepisyaryo ng AMIA Program sa ilalim ng Kagawaran ng Pagsasaka – Rehiyon ng Ilocos na nabigyan ng pagkakataong makilahok sa hands-on training sa paggamit ng mga makinarya noong Hulyo 28–29, 2026. Layunin ng pagsasanay na ito na palakasin ang kaalaman at kasanayan ng mga lokal na magsasaka sa paggamit at pagpapanatili ng mga makabagong kagamitang pangkabuhayan sa pagsasaka upang mapataas ang kanilang ani at kita.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | Noong nakaraang linggo, sumailalim ang ilang piling kinatawan ng mga LGUs sa Rehiyong Ilocos sa isang pagsasanay sa ilalim ng proyektong Smarter Approaches to Reinvigorate Agriculture as an Industry in the Philippines (SARAI) sa San Juan, La Union.

Ang Project SARAI ay programang pinondohan ng Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD). Ito ay ipinatutupad ng University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), ilang mga SUCs at NGAs, kung saan kabilang ang Department of Agriculture.

Sa gitna ng pagbabago ng klima, layunin ng proyekto na gabayan ang sektor ng agrikultura sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng tama at napapanahon na site-specific crop advisories.

Maliban sa SARAI Knowledge Portal, ilan sa mga teknolohiyang ibinahagi ay ang mga sumusunod:

• Smarter Pest Identification Technology (SPIDTECH)
• SPIDHIVE
• BanaTech (Banana Harvest Date Calculator)

𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗗 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED) successfully facilitated the First Semester Performance Assessment of the DA RFO I, held on July 15–17, 2026 at the E&C Hotel, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

The three-day activity served as a venue to assess the physical and financial accomplishments of operating units, divisions, research stations, banner programs, and other programs for the period of January to June 2026. It also provided an opportunity to review performance, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen accountability and results-based management across the region.

As one of the highlights of the activity, outstanding performers were recognized during the Monday Flag Raising Ceremony, celebrating the commitment and dedication of offices in delivering quality public service and advancing the Department’s goals.

PMED extends its appreciation to the DA-RFO I Top Management, members of the Assessment Committee, and all participating offices for their active participation and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, transparency, and continuous performance improvement.
