Yesterday, June 30, 2026, the local government of Tudela successfully conducted the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦, marking a powerful culmination to our Environment Month celebrations.

Our youth are not just the future—they are the present solution. We were thrilled to see the incredible energy and passion of the students and faculty from 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐜. and 𝐓𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 as they gathered to learn, discuss, and commit to protecting our natural treasures.

This impactful initiative was proudly spearheaded by the 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐓𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚, in close partnership with 𝐑𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 and the 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 (𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐋𝐒).

Together, we are fostering a generation deeply rooted in conservation, sustainable practices, and love for our shared home. 💚

A productive two days well spent! Last 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟒-𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the Camotes Islands Protected Landscape and Seascape - Protected Area Management Office (CIPLS-PAMO) along with its partner government agencies (𝐏𝐂𝐆, 𝐏𝐍𝐏, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐅𝐏) successfully concluded a two-day activity.

"𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧."

The main goal of this two-day initiative was to assess and conduct site validation—for the proposed mangrove rehabilitation and future planting efforts within the 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫.

This assessment was successfully carried out across six coastal barangays in the Municipality of Pilar:

The CIPLS-PAMO also extend its heartfelt gratitude to 𝐇𝐨𝐧. CIPLS-PAMO also thank the faculty members and student interns from 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐂𝐍𝐔) for sharing their technical expertise in gathering essential data. 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄-𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒⛑️

On 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟮 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, CIPLS-PAMO and the Municipal Tourism Staff of Lake Danao Park participated in a 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂. The training covered Basic Life Support (BLS) and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) management on the first day, followed by Basic First Aid Training on the second day.

In coordination with the 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙞𝙨𝙠 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 (𝙈𝘿𝙍𝙍𝙈𝙊) of San Francisco, Cebu, the activity aimed to enhance the participants’ preparedness and practical skills in responding to emergencies. This provided the participants a valuable experience in applying life-saving techniques and providing immediate care during critical situations, especially within the community and tourism sites of Camotes Island.

Through the collective efforts of the volunteers , a total of 45 trash bags were filled with plastic debris and other waste materials, helping protect our coastal and marine ecosystems.

Every piece of litter removed is a step toward a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.

🌏 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐄𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

With this year's theme, "𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘊𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦. 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘖𝘶𝘳 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦," the Camotes Island Protected Landscape and Seascape (CIPLS) proudly joined the global celebration of World Environment Day through a 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻-𝘂𝗽 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 held this morning, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝘁, 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮, 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the LGU of San Francisco through its Coastal Resource Management (CRM) Office, Bantay Dagat, the Philippine Coast Guard, Tulang Diot Marine Park Association, and dedicated members of the local community. Together, we strengthened our commitment to coastal conservation, environmental protection, and community stewardship.

Through the collective efforts of all volunteers, a total of 𝟒𝟓 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐬 were removed from the shoreline. Every piece of waste collected helps protect marine biodiversity, reduce environmental impacts, and contribute to climate change mitigation efforts.

This initiative serves as a reminder that caring for our environment is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can create cleaner coastlines, healthier ecosystems, and a more sustainable future for generations to come.
