Larger PSA provincial office to rise in Ilocos Sur ๐ต๐ญ
Officials from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), headed by Undersecretary Claire Dennis Mapa, together with provincial and local government officials and representatives, lead the groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, March 13, for the new three-storey Ilocos Sur Provincial Statistical Office at Park NOAB, Poblacion East, San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur.
This new facility will significantly improve the delivery of statistical services, civil registration, and identification systems, benefiting not only the province but also adjacent areas.
Undersecretary Mapa stated that this project is among seven Provincial Statistical Offices to be constructed nationwide, in partnership with various provincial and local governments, and other stakeholders.
โThis will strengthen our operations. The building covers approximately 2,300 square meters, providing sufficient space and facilities to enhance service delivery, especially for clients using our Civil Registry System and National ID services. Additionally, training sessions for personnel in the Ilocos Region, focusing on survey conduct, civil registration, and related areas, will be held here," he said.
The project is valued at around 90 million pesos and is fully funded by the PSA, with the lot generously donated by the local government of San Ildefonso.
