The mission of the NBI is not only to pursue criminals and uphold justice, but also to help create a society where mothers can live without fear, where children are safe from exploitation, violence, abuse, and crime, and where every hardworking parent is protected by the rule of law.
Today, we pay special tribute to single mothers — women who carry the burden of both mother and father, protector and provider.

For raising your child/children single-handedly..
For walking the long miles of nine months to the labor room without any hands that massaged your hips and shoulder..
Sa pagpupuyat ninyo sa gabi to breast feed and change diapers...
Sa pag-iyak ninyo with your child kapag siya ay nadapa at nasugatan..
For standing for your children and teaching them to do the same when peers taunt them about the absence of a father figure..
