20 August 2026 || SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SEMINAR

Barangay La Union successfully conducted a meaningful and informative Solid Waste Management Seminar aimed at strengthening environmental compliance and proper waste segregation in our community.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our distinguished resource speakers: Sir Norjan Taguinapon — MENRO, Ma'am Jean Grace Rojas — Municipal Sanitary Inspector, Sir Bernard Barsiliño — MENRO. Your expertise and guidance truly enlightened us on better environmental stewardship.

The activity was graciously led by our very own: Hon. Thelven Santos Molejon — Punong Barangay and Hon. Jerry Boy Torion — Committee Chair on Solid Waste / Barangay Kagawad.

Sa tanang mga beneficiaries sa UPLIFT Program Batch 1 ug Batch 2, sugod August 7–9, 2026, adunay payout nga pagahimoon sa Municipal Gym, Batobato, San Isidro, Davao Oriental.

🗓️ Petsa: August 7, 8, ug 9, 2026
🕗 Oras: 8:00 AM onwards
📍 Venue: Municipal Gym, Batobato, San Isidro, Davao Oriental

Mga kinahanglan dalhon:

* Photocopy sa inyong valid ID
* 4 ka kopya sa photocopy sa valid ID (palihug ipa-xerox na daan)

Dugang nga pahibalo:
Alang sa mga beneficiaries nga namatay na, ug katong mga nagtrabaho sa layo, mahimo nga ang bana o asawa ang motambong sa payout aron makapangayo og clarification bahin sa proseso sa replacement gikan mismo sa mga representante sa DSWD.

Palihug pagdala usab sa inyong original valid ID, kay kung kamo ang mahimong replacement sa inyong namatay nga bana o asawa, mahimo kini nga kinahanglanon sa proseso.

Kini nga pahibalo gikan sa MSDWO. Palihug ipahibalo usab sa ubang beneficiaries aron ang tanan mahibal-an.

Barangay La Union successfully conducted its First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony alongside the Moral Recovery Program to start the month with unity, faith, and dedication to public service.

The event was spearheaded by our Barangay Captain, Hon. Thelven Santos Molejon, together with the full support and presence of our esteemed Barangay Kagawads, SK Officials, Barangay Staff, and local functionaries.

We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated and showed their commitment to building a stronger, more principled community. Let us continue to work hand-in-hand for the progress and betterment of our barangay!

Distribution of Equipment to Barangay Health Centers & Day Care Centers.

Barangay La Union officials headed by Punong Barangay Thelven Santos D. Molejon, formally turned over equipment to serve the community:

To La Union & Bajada Health Centers: Refrigerators, electric fans, and water dispensers — to support Barangay Health Workers and improve health services.

To La Union & Bajada Day Care Centers: Refrigerators, television sets, and electric fans — to provide better facilities and a comfortable learning space for children.

July 16, 2026 || Fire Drill and Safety Awareness Activity.

Our heartfelt gratitude to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) - San Isidro Fire Station for successfully conducted Fire Safety Awareness, Fire Drill, and Fire Extinguisher Demonstration for our participants and officials held at Barangay La Union, San Isidro, Davao Oriental.

We sincerely thank to our dedicated resource speakers for sharing their expertise, practical demonstrations, and lifesaving skills that will greatly benefit our constituents.

The activity aims to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in fire prevention, proper use of fire extinguisher, and basic emergency response. It also seeks to strengthen the capability of the participants to act as first responders during fire incidents, minimize damage to life and property, and promote a safer and more prepared community.
