Personnel of the San Jose De Buan Fire Station, headed by SFO2 Eduard D Cabrigas, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, conducted a house-to-house survey in Brgy. 4, San Jose De Buan, Samar.

The house-to-house survey is a fundamental part of the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) Program, which aims to identify and address potential fire hazards in homes and strengthen the community’s capability to mitigate the possible occurrence of fire incidents.

Following the survey, fire safety flyers were distributed to further reinforce awareness and promote continuous adherence to fire prevention practices.

SFO2 Eduard D Cabrigas, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of San Jose de Buan Fire Station, together with site engineers from the Samar Island Natural Park Office, conducted an on-site inspection of the donated lot intended for the construction of a typical fire station, located adjacent to the San Jose de Buan Police Station in Poblacion 1, San Jose de Buan, Samar.

The inspection was undertaken to assess the suitability of the site and to support the proposed construction of the facility.

This activity forms part of the project’s compliance requirements, particularly in securing an Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) from the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB). As the proposed site is situated within a protected area, the project likewise requires the issuance of a Resolution from the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB).
