A Special Visit of Gratitude, Honor, and Continuous Giving!

The Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), led by SP Secretary J Turalba Gabin, together with our dedicated Division Heads—Ma'am Evangeline M.Palcat (OIC PGADH and Head of Records Division), Ma'am Ma. Theresa C. Montinola (Head of Administrative Division), Maam Leopima C. Sarmiento (Head of Legislative Division) and Ma'am Emmylou D. Cruzat (Head of Library Division)—paid a meaningful visit to honor and express deep appreciation to Ma'am Grace Grasparil-Magullado, retired Librarian IV of the Antique Provincial Library and Local Archives.

This heartfelt visit was organized to recognize Ma'am Grace for her unwavering love, dedication, and continuous support for the Antique Provincial Library even in her retirement. Adding to her legacy of service, Ma'am Grace’s enduring passion for the library’s advocacy sparked another generous turnover: boxes of Birch Tree Milk donated by Century Pacific Food, Inc.! Through her initiative and heartfelt love for our community, these donations will greatly support the upcoming programs and activities of the Antique Provincial Library.

To Ma’am Grace Magullado, your legacy continues to nourish both the minds and the well-being of the Antiqueño community. Kabalaka kag gugma para sa probinsya! Thank you for being a true inspiration!

INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION OF READERS & WRITERS!

We are beyond proud and grateful to receive a special book donation from one of our very own literary pride, Nathaniel D. Avila of Sibalom Central School!

Nathaniel is not only an accomplished young author but also a National Champion in Editorial Writing at the 2026 National Schools Press Conference (NSPC)! Adding to his incredible achievements, he serves as the President of the Antique Young Writers' Guild and Vice President for Visayas of the Elementary Editors' Guild of the Philippines.

He has generously donated copies of his debut fiction novel, Likasiniid: The Lightning Warrior—a masterpiece he published at just eleven years old, blending his sharp journalism skills with imaginative storytelling.

Thank you, Nathaniel and to his proud parents, for giving back to the community and serving as a glowing example of excellence, passion, and creativity for fellow young learners! Your story will surely inspire many students to dream big and pick up the pen.

CULTURALLY RICH STORIES FOR OUR YOUNG READERS!

We are deeply grateful to our local author Maam Linda A. Lee, for generously donating her children's storybooks written in Kinaray-a to the Antique Provincial Library!

As a local writer, her children's storybooks written in Kinaray-a are a wonderful addition to our "Istoryahi Ko Nay" storytelling sessions. Through her words, our young listeners not only learn to enjoy stories but also deepen their appreciation for our native language, bringing our native dialect, heritage, and values closer to the hearts of young Antiqueños.

Promoting literacy while preserving our mother tongue is a shared community effort, and works like these inspire our children to love reading and take pride in our local language.

Thank you, Maam Linda A Lee for championing Kinaray-a literature!

Come visit the Antique Provincial Library today and explore these amazing local storybooks with your kids!

Bringing Stories, Smiles, and Hope to our IP Community in Barangay Mabuyong, Anini- y Antique

The Antique Provincial Library and Local Archives successfully conducted a heart-warming community outreach program dedicated to our beloved Indigenous People (IP) community at Barangay Mabuyong, Anini-y, Antique!

We were thrilled to welcome 30 wonderful children and 30 devoted mothers as we implemented our banner program, "Istoryahi Ko, 'Nay!" Through this initiative, we reminded and encouraged our mothers about the powerful impact of spending quality, uninterupted time with their children, by reading stories to them—whether as a cozy bedtime routine or during everyday conversations. To make the stories come alive, talented student volunteers served as our storytellers, leaving the kids wide-eyed and full of wonder!

"Ang bata nga may nabasahan, may masanag nga buwas-damlag"--

Today we celebrate the powerful role stories play in inspiring young minds, building empathy, preserving our rich culture and heritage.

Books gives our kids wings to explore new world, dream big, and embrace values that stay with them for life. Whether it's classic Filipino fokltales like ang Pag-aaway ng Pagong at Matsing or vibrant local stories written in Kinaray-a, every story opens a doorway to wonder.
