August 24, 2026 | Coordination Meeting on Documentary Requirements for Project Implementation

The Provincial Government of Antique, through the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), conducted a Coordination Meeting with concerned line agencies to harmonize documentary requirements and strengthen coordination in the implementation of provincial government-funded projects.

The meeting brought together concerned agencies to discuss their respective requirements, procedures, and guidelines relevant to project implementation.

As part of the activity, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) presented their respective documentary requirements, procedures, and other guidelines that project proponents need to consider in the planning and implementation of projects under their jurisdiction.

The presentations provided an avenue to clarify agency-specific requirements, address concerns, and identify necessary permits, clearances, and supporting documents that may be required before project implementation.

The OPPDC emphasized that sustained coordination among the Provincial Government and national government agencies is essential in ensuring that priority projects are implemented efficiently, properly documented, and in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations.

The activity forms part of the Provinceโ€™s continuing efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and improve the delivery of programs and projects for the people of Antique.

Antique Provincial Statistics Committee Gears Up for 37th National Statistics Month

The Provincial Statistics Committee of Antique convened its General Assembly Meeting today at the JCMC Hall to discuss preparations for the 37th National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration in October 2026, with the theme โ€œTuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism.โ€

The meeting was formally opened with a welcome message from EnP. Bienvinido E. Nallos, Jr., MPA, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (PPDC). In his message, Nallos emphasized that statistics is more than numbers, tables, and reportsโ€”it is a powerful tool for understanding communities and making informed decisions. He highlighted the importance of reliable data in planning, resource allocation, monitoring progress, and responding to emerging challenges.

He also stressed that โ€œgood planning begins with good data,โ€ and encouraged the committee and its partner agencies to maximize available data, particularly Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data, in planning and development initiatives. He urged participants to actively contribute ideas and recommendations toward promoting data-driven governance and inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development in Antique.

The committee reviewed the Accomplishment and Documentation Report of the 36th NSM and discussed Memorandum Circular No. 2026-07 concerning the celebration of the 37th NSM.

Discussions also focused on the proposed activities and calendar of activities, including the Opening Ceremonies, Display of Statistical Exhibits, and Provincial Elimination of the Statistics Quiz for Junior High School students.

The General Assembly served as an avenue to strengthen coordination among the Provincial Statistics Committee and its partner agencies and to prepare for a meaningful and successful celebration of the 37th National Statistics Month in the Province of Antique.

August 18, 2026 | Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) โ€“ TAC Meeting

The Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) Technical Assessment Committee (TAC) conducted its meeting at JCMC Hall, focusing on the assessment, review, and strengthening of the Comprehensive Development Plans of municipalities.

The meeting discussed the following key agenda items:

1. DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-037 โ€“ Updated Guidelines on the Assessment of Comprehensive Development Plans of Municipalities.

2. Presentation of Executive Order No. 2, s. 2026 and CDP-TAC Forms.

3. 2nd Semester 2026 CDP Assessment Calendar.

The meeting served as an avenue to ensure a common understanding of the updated guidelines, assessment tools, and schedule, supporting a more organized and effective assessment of the CDPs of the provinceโ€™s municipalities.

PPMIU Holds Meeting on PRDP Projects and Updates

The Provincial Project Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PPMIU) conducted a meeting at the JCMC Hall today, August 7, 2026, to discuss updates on various projects under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).

The meeting was led by PPDC Bienvinido E. Nallos, Jr., MPA, EnP.

Among the agenda items discussed were the Value Chain Analysis (VCA) on Rice and Seaweeds, updates from the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Unit on PRDP components, and the status of subprojects under the PRDP Original Loans.

The group also discussed proposed projects under PRDP Scale-Up, including the Antique Chicken Dressing Plant and the Antique Integrated Swine Production and Marketing Enterprise.

The meeting aimed to strengthen project monitoring, coordination, and implementation of PRDP-supported initiatives in the Province of Antique.

OPPDC Conducts Technical Assistance Visit to Patnongon for CLUP and Zoning Ordinance Preparation

As part of its continuing commitment to strengthening local planning and sustainable development, the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), headed by EnP. Bienvinido E. Nallos Jr., MPA, conducted a technical assistance visit to the Municipality of Patnongon to support the preparation and finalization of its Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) and Zoning Ordinance (ZO).

During the visit, the OPPDC technical team worked closely with the Municipal Planning and Development Office in reviewing the Existing Land Use Map, validating land use classifications, refining spatial data and administrative boundaries, enhancing map layouts, and ensuring compliance with the planning and mapping standards prescribed by the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).

The activity served as a collaborative platform for knowledge sharing and technical mentoring, enabling the municipal planning team to further enhance the quality and accuracy of its planning documents. Through this initiative, OPPDC reaffirmed its commitment to providing responsive technical assistance and strengthening the planning capacities of local government units across the Province of Antique.

On July 27, 2026, the Provincial Project Monitoring Committee (PPMC) convened its 2nd Quarter Meeting at the Conference Room, Mayorโ€™s Office, Municipal Hall, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.

The meeting was presided by Hon. Atty. Paul Joseph Untaran, Municipal Mayor of San Jose de Buenavista and the vice chairperson, representative from DILG-Antique. Representatives from Hublag Evelio Inc., and Dihon sa Raya Institute Inc., were also present along with the invited guests from DPWH Antique District Office and Office of the Provincial Engineer.

During the meeting, the Laua-an-Tapaz Road Project, Governor Javier Legacy Projects, and the future monitoring plans of the committee were presented and discussed.

The session served as an avenue to review project progress, address challenges, and align priorities to ensure the continued effective implementation of development initiatives across the province.
